AFTER proper posting of public notice, a copy of which is attached hereto, on this the 21st day of November, 2005, the County Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas, met in the Commissioners' Courtroom in Belton, Texas, in regular session with the following members of said Court present, to-wit:

  1. Agenda #1 - Minutes

    • MINUTE ORDER #481/05:  It being nine a.m., Judge Jon H. Burrows, called the regular meeting of the Commissioner's Court to order and called to the Courts attention that they had received the minutes of November 14, 2005.  After due discussion, the minutes were approved as presented.   



  2. Agenda #2a  - Letter of Credit No. 469

    • MINUTE ORDER #482/05: After due discussion, upon motion of COMMISSIONER BROWN, seconded by COMMISSIONER LANGE, the Court unanimously approved to release letter of credit No. 469, First State Bank Central Texas, in the amount of $7,543.90 for the maintenance of improvements in Mill Creek Springs Phase IV.  



  3. Agenda #3 - Personnel

    • MINUTE ORDER #483/05:  Upon motion of COMMISSIONER FISHER, seconded by COMMISSIONER BROWN, the Court unanimously approved all employee status report forms, the same being attached hereto and made a part of these minutes.  



  4. Agenda #4 - Family Protection Fee

    • MINUTE ORDER #484/05:  After due discussion, upon motion of COMMISSIONER CORTESE, seconded by COMMISSIONER BROWN, the Court unanimously approved the Family Protection Fee increase from $15.00 to $30.00 for 2006.   



  5. Agenda #5 - Awarding Vehicle Bids

    • MINUTE ORDER #485/05:  Upon motion of COMMISSIONER CORTESE, seconded by COMMISSIONER LANGE, the Court unanimously approved to award the bid of $147,694.48 to John McClaren Chevrolet for eight patrol cars for the Sheriff's Office. 

                  Upon motion of COMMISSIONER CORTESE, seconded by COMMISSIONER LANGE, the Court unanimously approved to award the bid of $37,050.00 to Derek Scott for three program cars for the Sheriff's Office. 

                  Upon motion of COMMISSIONER CORTESE, seconded by COMMISSIONER LANGE, the Court unanimously approved to award the bid of $12,350.00 to Derek Scott for one program car for Juvenile Probation. 

                  Upon motion of COMMISSIONER FISHER, seconded by COMMISSIONER CORTESE, the Court unanimously approved to award the bid of $61,829.00 to John McClaren Chevrolet for four 3/4 ton pickups for Building and Grounds and Road and Bridge.

                  Upon motion of COMMISSIONER CORTESE, seconded by COMMISSIONER LANGE, the Court unanimously approved to award the bid of $35,998.50 to Derek Scott for three 1/2 ton pickups for Road and Bridge. 

                  Upon motion of COMMISSIONER CORTESE, seconded by COMMISSIONER LANGE, the Court unanimously approved to award the bid of $20,667.03 to John McClaren Chevrolet for one 1-ton pickup for Road and Bridge. 



  6. Agenda #6 - Interlocal Agreement with City of Temple

    • MINUTE ORDER #486/05:  Sharon Long, Tax Assessor-Collector, presented the annual renewal of Interlocal Agreement with City of Temple for Temple to use the County's software and fiber optic network to process and maintain records regarding early voting.  After due discussion, upon motion of COMMISSIONER CORTESE, seconded by COMMISSIONER LANGE, the Court unanimously approved the Interlocal Agreement with the City of Temple. 



  7. Agenda #7 - Claims

    • MINUTE ORDER #487/05:  Judge Jon H. Burrows, County Judge, presented the claims for review to the Court.  After proper review, upon the motion of COMMISSIONER BROWN, seconded by COMMISSIONER CORTESE, the Court unanimously approved all such claims.  All according to a copy of the same being of record in the office of the County Auditor. 



             (The Court then went into workshop session to discuss those items on the workshop agenda with
             no action being taken on any item.)


              There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.
