Agenda #1 - Minutes
- MINUTE ORDER #489/05: It being nine a.m., Judge
Jon H. Burrows, called the regular meeting of the Commissioner's
Court to order and called to the Courts
attention that they had received the minutes of November 21, 2005.
After due discussion, the minutes were approved as presented.
Agenda #2a - Purchase of Eight Shredders
- MINUTE ORDER #490/05: After due discussion, upon
motion of COMMISSIONER LANGE, seconded by COMMISSIONER FISHER, the Court unanimously approved
to purchase the shredders from Farm Equipment in the amount of $7,949 each
or $63,592 for all eight.
Agenda #2b - Right of Way Fencing
- MINUTE ORDER #491/05: After due discussion, upon
motion of COMMISSIONER LANGE, seconded by COMMISSIONER CORTESE, the Court unanimously approved
to award bid for the right of way fencing on Dove and Brewster Creek Road
to B & B fencing in the amount of $37,207.61.
Agenda #2c - Bid for Prime Oil
- MINUTE ORDER #492/05: After due discussion, upon
motion of COMMISSIONER CORTESE, seconded by COMMISSIONER BROWN, the Court unanimously approved
to award bid to Ergon in the amount of $1.62 per gallon for the
AE-P. This bid is for three months.
Agenda #3 - Personnel
- MINUTE ORDER #493/05: Upon motion of COMMISSIONER FISHER, seconded by
COMMISSIONER BROWN, the Court
unanimously approved all employee status report forms, the same being
attached hereto and made a part of these minutes.
Agenda #4 - First Annual Willroy Pitrucha Award
- MINUTE ORDER #494/05: District Attorney Henry Garza
presented the First Annual Willroy Pitrucha Award to Karl Ortiz,
Investigator with Killeen PD. The Willroy Pitrucha Award is
presented to the investigator who has demonstrated excellence in criminal
prosecutions.
Agenda #5 - Blackland Coalition
- MINUTE ORDER #495/05: Chris Hammel gave presentation
on behalf of the Blackland Coalition and Blackland Coalition PAC.
Mr. Hammel spoke of the concerns of the TransTexasCorridor, particularly
the TTC-35 segment. Judge Jon H. Burrows, County Judge presented to
the Court a resolution setting out concerns the Court requested the State
to address. Upon motion of COMMISSIONER BROWN, seconded by
COMMISSIONER CORTESE, the Court
unanimously approved agreed to adopt the resolution, pending additions or
corrections.
Agenda #6 - Interlocal Agreement with City of Belton
- MINUTE ORDER #496/05: After due discussion, upon motion of COMMISSIONER CORTESE, seconded by
COMMISSIONER BROWN, the Court
unanimously approved to extend the Interlocal Agreement for Fuel
Management Systems between Bell County and the City of Belton.
Agenda #7 - Asbestos Abatement Company
- MINUTE ORDER #497/05: After due discussion, upon
motion of COMMISSIONER FISHER, seconded by COMMISSIONER BROWN, the Court unanimously approved
for the County Auditor to advertise for bids for an asbestos abatement
company for the county buildings in Killeen.
Agenda #8 - SBI.enteris for Inmate Indigent Healthcare
Processing
- MINUTE ORDER #498/05: After due discussion, upon
motion of COMMISSIONER CORTESE, seconded by COMMISSIONER FISHER, the Court unanimously approved
the agreement and statement of work with SBI.enteris for Inmate Indigent
Healthcare Processing assistance and support.
Agenda #9 - Amendment No. 3
- MINUTE ORDER #499/05: The Court discussed Amendment
No. 3 to the Owner/Architect Agreement (AIA Document 141-1997) for the
Bell County Justice Center to revise the scope of the "Project"
to conduct an inventory of existing furniture to assist the County in
determining what is to be reused in the new District Courts Building and
Downtown Annex. Upon motion of COMMISSIONER LANGE, seconded by COMMISSIONER
BROWN, the Court unanimously approved Amendment No. 3. A copy of
such Amendment is attached hereto and made a part of these minutes.
Agenda #10 - Claims
- MINUTE ORDER #500/05: There were no claims at this
time.
Agenda #11 - Executive Session
- MINUTE ORDER #501/05: (The Court went into Executive
Session as authorized by section 551.074 of the Texas Government Code
regarding Personnel matters. The Court went into Executive Session
at 10:40 a.m. and came out of Executive Session at 10:55 p.m. and took no
action following Executive Session.)
Agenda #12 - HELP Center & Indigent Health Care
- MINUTE ORDER #502/05: Upon
motion of COMMISSIONER FISHER, seconded by COMMISSIONER BROWN, the Court unanimously approved
the reorganization of HELP Centers and Indigent Health Care
functions.
(The Court then went into workshop session to discuss those items on
the workshop agenda with
no action being taken on any item.)
There being no further business, the meeting
adjourned.
