Agenda #1 - Governor's Disaster Declaration
- MINUTE ORDER #536/05: In concert with the Governor's
Disaster Declaration, dated December 27, 2005 this Commissioner's Court
gave approval of a Declaration of Disaster for Bell County pursuant to
section 418.108 of the Texas Government Code due to the imminent threat of
severe damage, injury, or loss of life or property resulting from the
threat of wildfires due to drought and other weather related
conditions. After due discussion, upon motion of COMMISSIONER
CORTESE, seconded by COMMISSIONER BROWN, the Court unanimously
approved the Declaration of Disaster.
Agenda #2 - Emergency Measures
- MINUTE ORDER #537/05: In concert with the Declaration
of Disaster for Bell County, after due discussion, upon
motion of COMMISSIONER LANGE, seconded by COMMISSIONER FISHER, the Court unanimously approved
certain emergency measures, specifically an Order prohibiting the use of
combustible materials in an outside environment by any person, with in the
manner or means of its use could result in a wildfire, with the violation
of the order being a Class C Misdemeanor, punishable by a fine up to
$500.00.
There being no further business, the meeting
adjourned.
