met in the Commissioners' Courtroom in Belton, Texas, in regular session with the

Agenda #1 - Minutes
- MINUTE ORDER #044/06: It being nine a.m., Judge
Jon H. Burrows, called the regular meeting of the Commissioner's
Court to order and called to the Courts attention that they will waive
approval of minutes for January 17 & 23, 2006, until next session.
Agenda #2a - Annual Report of Road and Bridge
Department
- MINUTE ORDER #045/06: After due discussion, upon motion of
COMMISSIONER FISHER, seconded by COMMISSIONER BROWN, the
Court unanimously approved the Annual Report of Road and Bridge Department
Activities for 2005.
Agenda #2b - Letter of Credit No. 000493
- MINUTE ORDER #046/06: After due discussion, upon motion of
COMMISSIONER CORTESE, seconded by COMMISSIONER LANGE, the
Court unanimously approved to release Letter of Credit No. 000493, First
State Bank Central Texas, in the amount of $10,000 and accept a
Maintenance Bond No. 4346008, Suretec Insurance Company, in the amount of
$14,581.19 for Eagle Oaks at the Lake, Phase I.
Agenda #2c - Reese Creek Road
- MINUTE ORDER #047/06: After due discussion, upon motion of
COMMISSIONER FISHER, seconded by COMMISSIONER BROWN, the
Court unanimously approved the request from the City of Killeen to annex a
portion of Reese Creek Road.
Agenda #2d - South Belton Community Park
- MINUTE ORDER #048/06: After due discussion, upon motion of
COMMISSIONER CORTESE, seconded by COMMISSIONER BROWN, the
Court unanimously approved to assist the City of Belton with the
application for a Small Community Grant for the development of about six
acres for the South Belton Community Park. This agreement will
provide certain labor and equipment at a value of approximately $3,000 to
$4,000.
Agenda #3 - Personnel
- MINUTE ORDER #049/06: Upon motion of COMMISSIONER
FISHER, seconded by COMMISSIONER BROWN, the Court
unanimously approved all employee status report forms, the same being
attached hereto and made a part of these minutes.
Agenda #4 - Burn Ban
- MINUTE ORDER #050/06: Upon motion of COMMISSIONER
CORTESE, seconded by COMMISSIONER LANGE, the Court
unanimously approved the continuation of the Burn Ban Order and Emergency
Order Concerning Burning, with special approval procedures for agriculture
purposes.
Agenda #5 - Annual Presentation of Sheriff's Awards
- MINUTE ORDER #051/06: Dan Smith, Bell County Sheriff
presented the Annual Sheriff's Awards. The awards included the
following, Former County Employees, Certificates of Appreciation, Service
Pins, Physical Fitness Pins, Police Commendations, Meritorious Conduct,
Life Saving, Top Gun, and Sheriff's Award. The names of these
recipients is attached hereto and made a part of these minutes.
Agenda #6 - Final Budget amendments for FY 05
- MINUTE ORDER #052/06: Donna Eakin, County Auditor,
presented the Final Budget Amendments for approval. After due discussion, upon motion of
COMMISSIONER BROWN, seconded by COMMISSIONER CORTESE, the Court
unanimously approved the final budget amendments for FY 05
Budget.
Agenda #7 - Contract for Election Services
- MINUTE ORDER #053/06: After due discussion, upon
motion of COMMISSIONER CORTESE, seconded by COMMISSIONER LANGE, the Court unanimously approved
for the use of a Contract for Election Services.
Agenda #8 - Claims
- MINUTE ORDER #054/06: Judge Jon H. Burrows, County
Judge, presented the claims for review to the Court. After proper
review, upon motion of COMMISSIONER BROWN, seconded by COMMISSIONER
CORTESE, the Court unanimously approved all such claims. All
according to a copy of the same being of record in the office of the
County Auditor.
(The Court then went into workshop session to discuss those items on
the workshop agenda with
no action being taken on any item.)
There being no further business, the meeting
adjourned.
