Agenda #1 - Minutes
- MINUTE ORDER #111/06: It being nine a.m., Judge
Jon H. Burrows, called the regular meeting of the Commissioner's
Court to order and called to the Courts attention that they had received
the minutes of March 6, 2006. After due discussion, the minutes
were approved as corrected.
Agenda #2a - Plat for Matecka Addition
- MINUTE ORDER #112/06: After due discussion, upon motion of
COMMISSIONER LANGE, seconded by COMMISSIONER CORTESE, the
Court unanimously approved the plat for Matecka Addition, a One-Lot,
One-Acre Subdivision fronting on F.M. 485.
Agenda #3 - Personnel
- MINUTE ORDER #113/06: Upon motion of COMMISSIONER
FISHER, seconded by COMMISSIONER LANGE, the Court
unanimously approved all employee status report forms, the same being
attached hereto and made a part of these minutes.
Agenda #4 - Certificate of Appreciation
- MINUTE ORDER #114/06: Judge Jon H. Burrows
presented Lindsay Clark, Bell County Elections Clerk with a Certificate of
Appreciation for her exceptional service in directing the first election
under the Help America Vote Act (HAVA) requirements using a new voting
system.
Agenda #5 - Ratification and Approval of Precinct
Changes
- MINUTE ORDER #115/06: After due discussion, upon motion of
COMMISSIONER CORTESE, seconded by COMMISSIONER LANGE,
the Court
unanimously ratified and approved the change of Precinct Voting locations
and appropriate submission to Department of Justice for 2006 Elections for
the following Precincts:
1. Precinct 203 - From Salado Community Center, 511 North Main
Street in Salado, to Church of Christ Activities Center, Corner of
Blacksmith Road & Church Street in Salado;
2. Precinct 210 - From Trimmier Community Center, 10520 E. Trimmier
Road in Killeen to First Baptist Church of Trimmier, 6405 Chaparral Road
in Killeen;
3. Precinct 401 - From Don Melton's Garage, 2975 Boy's Ranch Road in
Bell County, to The Cove Saddle Club Arena, Boy's Ranch Road (1 mile west
of Don Melton's Garage) in Bell County.
Agenda #6 - Consolidation of Voting Locations
- MINUTE ORDER #116/06: After due discussion, upon motion of
COMMISSIONER CORTESE, seconded by COMMISSIONER LANGE, the Court
unanimously approved the consolidation of voting locations for the April
11, 2006 Run-Off Election and appropriate submission to Department of
Justice. All according to a copy of the same, being attached hereto
and made a part of these minutes.
Agenda #7 - Interlocal Cooperation Agreement for Law
Enforcement
- MINUTE ORDER #117/06: After due discussion, upon motion of COMMISSIONER
FISHER, seconded by COMMISSIONER LANGE, the Court
unanimously approved the Interlocal Cooperation Agreement for Law
Enforcement among Bell County and the Cities of Belton, Copperas Cove,
Harker Heights, Killeen, Morgan's Point Resort, Nolanville, Temple, and
Troy regarding SWAT and/or Special Unit call outs.
Agenda #8 - 2005 Racial Profiling Statistics Report
- MINUTE ORDER #118/06: After due discussion, upon motion of COMMISSIONER
FISHER, seconded by COMMISSIONER LANGE, the Court
unanimously approved the 2005 Racial Profiling Statistics Report from
Precinct 4 Constable, Edd Melton, III.
Agenda #9 - CDBG Grant Applications
- MINUTE ORDER #119/06: After due discussion, upon motion of COMMISSIONER
LANGE, seconded by COMMISSIONER FISHER, the Court
unanimously approved the CDBG Grant Applications for Temple and Killeen
HELP Center.
Agenda #10 - Cooperative Working Agreement
- MINUTE ORDER #120/06: After due discussion, upon motion of COMMISSIONER
CORTESE, seconded by COMMISSIONER LANGE, the Court
unanimously approved the Cooperative Working Agreement with Lone Star
Legal Aid regarding Rural Central Texas Rapid Response as part of Grant Application
for VOCA Grant.
Agenda #11 - Claims
- MINUTE ORDER #121/06: Judge Jon H. Burrows, County
Judge, presented the claims for review to the Court. After proper
review, upon motion of COMMISSIONER FISHER, seconded by COMMISSIONER
CORTESE, the Court unanimously approved all such claims. All
according to a copy of the same being of record in the office of the
County Auditor.
(The Court then went into workshop session to discuss those items on
the workshop agenda with
no action being taken on any item.)
There being no further business, the meeting
adjourned.
