Agenda #1 - Minutes
- MINUTE ORDER #122/06: It being nine a.m., Judge
Jon H. Burrows, called the regular meeting of the Commissioner's
Court to order and called to the Courts attention that they had received
the minutes of March 13, 2006. After due discussion, all minutes
were approved as submitted.
Agenda #2a - Traffic Control Devices
- MINUTE ORDER #123/06: After due discussion, upon motion of
COMMISSIONER BROWN, seconded by COMMISSIONER CORTESE, the
Court unanimously approved the installation of "No Parking"
signs at the intersection of Nolan Loop and FM 439.
Agenda #2b - Plat for Russell Subdivision
- MINUTE ORDER #124/06: After due discussion, upon motion of
COMMISSIONER LANGE, seconded by COMMISSIONER FISHER, the
Court unanimously approved the Final Plat for Russell Subdivision, a
one-lot, two acre subdivision off of FM 2184, south of Rogers.
Agenda #2c - Plat for Prairie Dell Settlements
- MINUTE ORDER #125/06: After due discussion, upon motion of
COMMISSIONER BROWN, seconded by COMMISSIONER CORTESE, the
Court unanimously approved the final plat for Prairie Dell Settlements, a
two-lot, 3.702 acre subdivision off of Solana Ranch Road.
Agenda #2d - Plat for Songbird Estates
- MINUTE ORDER #126/06: After due discussion, upon motion of
COMMISSIONER CORTESE, seconded by COMMISSIONER LANGE, the
Court unanimously approved the final plat for Songbird Estates, a
five-lot, 10.449 acre development off of FM 436 in the ETJ of the City of
Temple.
Agenda #3 - Personnel
- MINUTE ORDER #127/06: Upon motion of COMMISSIONER
FISHER, seconded by COMMISSIONER CORTESE, the Court
unanimously approved all employee status report forms, the same being
attached hereto and made a part of these minutes.
Agenda #4 - Canvassing of Primary Election Results
- MINUTE ORDER #128/06: Nancy Boston, Republican Chairman
and Arthur Resa, Democratic Chairman, presented the Court with the
canvassing results of the 2006 March Primary Election. After due discussion,
upon motion of COMMISSIONER CORTESE, seconded by COMMISSIONER
LANGE, the Court unanimously approved the canvass of Primary Election
results. All of which a copy is attached here to and made a part of
these minutes.
Agenda #5 - Burn Ban
- MINUTE ORDER #129/06: Steve Casey, Bell County Fire
Marshal, presented the Court with updated information regarding the Burn
Ban and Emergency Order Concerning Burning. After due discussion, upon motion of
COMMISSIONER BROWN, seconded by COMMISSIONER FISHER,
the Court
unanimously approved to lift the Burn Ban Order and Emergency Order
Concerning Burning.
Agenda #6 - Budget Amendment
- MINUTE ORDER #130/06: After due discussion, upon motion of
COMMISSIONER CORTESE, seconded by COMMISSIONER BROWN, the Court
unanimously approved to increase funding by $20,000.00 for County Wide
Fire Assistance by area Fire Departments. This due to the
unprecedented number of grass and wild fires this Fiscal Year.
Agenda #7 - FY-2005 Yearly Interest and Investment
Report
- MINUTE ORDER #131/06: Charles Jones, Bell County
Treasurer, presented the FY-2005 Yearly Interest and Investment
Report. After due discussion, upon motion of COMMISSIONER CORTESE, seconded by COMMISSIONER
FISHER, the Court
unanimously approved the FY-2005 Yearly Interest and Investment
Report.
Agenda #8 - Project Safe Neighborhood/Gang Violence
- MINUTE ORDER #132/06: District Attorney, Henry
Garza, presented the Court with a Grant application for funding through
the Project Safe Neighborhood/Gang Violence initiative to support a
prosecutor position to be funded by the grant. After due discussion, upon motion of COMMISSIONER
LANGE, seconded by COMMISSIONER CORTESE, the Court
unanimously approved the Grant Application.
Agenda #9 - FusionBridge, Ltd.
- MINUTE ORDER #133/06: After due discussion, upon motion of COMMISSIONER
CORTESE, seconded by COMMISSIONER FISHER, the Court
unanimously approved the Statement of Work with FusionBridge, Ltd., for
support in implementing various processes in the County Clerk's
office. This to include solutions regarding document recording,
credit card usage and other processes.
Agenda #10 - Claims
- MINUTE ORDER #134/06: Judge Jon H. Burrows, County
Judge, presented the claims for review to the Court. After proper
review, upon motion of COMMISSIONER BROWN, seconded by COMMISSIONER
CORTESE, the Court unanimously approved all such claims. All
according to a copy of the same being of record in the office of the
County Auditor.
Agenda #11 - County Auction
- MINUTE ORDER #135/06: After due discussion, upon motion of
COMMISSIONER LANGE, seconded by COMMISSIONER CORTESE, the
Court unanimously approved to set April 22, 2006 as the date for the Bell
County Auction.
(The Court then went into workshop session to discuss those items on
the workshop agenda with
no action being taken on any item.)
There being no further business, the meeting
adjourned.
