AFTER proper posting of public notice, a copy of which is attached hereto, on
this the 8th day of May, 2006, the County Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas,
met in the Commissioners' Courtroom in Belton, Texas, in regular session with the

Agenda #1 - Minutes
- MINUTE ORDER #201/06: It being nine a.m., Judge
Jon H. Burrows, called the regular meeting of the Commissioner's
Court to order and called to the Courts attention that they had received
the minutes of May 1, 2006. After due discussion, the minutes
were approved as presented.
Agenda #2 - Engineer
- There were no items for discussion at this time.
Agenda #3 - Personnel
- MINUTE ORDER #202/06: Upon motion of COMMISSIONER
LANGE, seconded by COMMISSIONER CORTESE, the
Court unanimously approved all employee status report forms, the same
being attached hereto and made a part of these minutes.
Agenda #4 - Employee Health and Dental Insurance
- MINUTE ORDER #203/06: After due discussion, upon
motion of COMMISSIONER CORTESE, seconded by COMMISSIONER BROWN, the
Court unanimously approved for the County Auditor to advertise for
requests for proposals for employee health and dental insurance.
Agenda #5 - County Auction
- MINUTE ORDER #204/06: Russell Williams, Assistant
County Auditor presented the results of the Bell County Auction held on
April 22, 2006. After due discussion, upon
motion of COMMISSIONER LANGE, seconded by COMMISSIONER CORTESE, the
Court unanimously approved the results from the County Auction.
Agenda #6 - COPO Inc.
- MINUTE ORDER #205/06: After due discussion, upon motion of
COMMISSIONER BROWN, seconded by COMMISSIONER LANGE, the
Court unanimously approved the agreed termination of the Management
Agreement with COPO, Inc. for the operation of the Bell County Juvenile
Detention and Residential Facility with the operation to be assumed by
Bell County.
Agenda #7 - Claims
- MINUTE ORDER #206/06: Judge Jon H. Burrows, County
Judge, presented the claims for review to the Court. After proper
review, upon motion of COMMISSIONER BROWN, seconded by COMMISSIONER
CORTESE, the Court unanimously approved all such claims. All
according to a copy of the same being of record in the office of the
County Auditor.
(Russell Williams
presented the Gold Star Safety Award which the County accepted the past week
at the
County Management Conference.)
(The Court then went into workshop session to discuss those items on
the workshop agenda with
no action being taken on any item.)
There being no further business, the meeting
adjourned.
