Agenda #1 - Minutes
- MINUTE ORDER #233/06: It being nine a.m., Judge
Jon H. Burrows, called the regular meeting of the Commissioner's
Court to order and called to the Courts attention that they had received
the minutes of May 30, 2006. After due discussion, the minutes
were approved as presented.
Agenda #2 - County Engineer
- There were no items for discussion.
Agenda #3 - Personnel
- MINUTE ORDER #234/06: Upon motion of Commissioner
Cortese, seconded by Commissioner Fisher, the
Court unanimously approved all employee status report forms, the same
being attached hereto and made a part of these minutes.
Agenda #4 - Appointment to Housing Finance Corporation
(Bell & Central Texas)
- MINUTE ORDER #235/06: Judge Burrows
presented the matter to consider approval of the appointment of Jay Walker
of Union State Bank in Killeen to the boards of the Bell County Housing
Finance Corporation and the Central Texas Housing Finance Corporation to
succeed John Agan, who has resigned due to his election to the Belton City
Council. After due discussion, upon motion of Commissioner
Fisher, to accept the resignation of John Agan and the appointment of
Jay Walker, seconded by Commissioner Cortese, the Court unanimously
approved this matter.
Agenda #5 - Appointments - Adult Protective Services
Special Task Unit
- MINUTE ORDER #236/06: Judge
Burrows, presented the matter of in compliance with the requirements
of Senate Bill 6 which amended Chapter 48 of the Human Resource Code by
adding Section 48.1521, consider approval of the appointment of the
initial standing members of an Adult Protective Services Special Task Unit
to monitor adult protective services cases that arise in Bell
County. Those members are as follows: Karen McCarthy, Central
Counties MHMR; Jennifer Wesley, Belton Police Dept.; Jennine Jarolik, Bell
County Attorney's Office; Nick Serna, Legal Aid; Becky Johnson, Extraco
Bank; Jubencio Velasquez, Scott & White Santa Fe Clinic; Lee Crossley,
Clergy; Richard McGhee, Central Texas Area Agency on Aging; and
Debra Brock, Families in Crisis, Inc. After due discussion, upon motion of Commissioner
Cortese, seconded by Commissioner Brown, the
Court unanimously approved this matter.
Agenda #6 - Authority for County Judge to Sign Documents
for Purchase of Property
- MINUTE ORDER #237/06: Judge Burrows presented the
matter to consider authorizing County Judge to sign contract offering to
purchase the property located at 200 W. Avenue G in Temple, Bell County,
Texas, generally described as Temple Original, Block 57, Lt 3 & 4 St
Adj & one-half of Alley and Temple Original, Block 58, Lt 1, 2, 3,
& $ & Alley adj Par No. 5, and to sign any and all closing
documents and consider approval of budget amendment to fund the purchase
upon closing. After due discussion, upon motion of Commissioner
Lange, seconded by Commissioner Brown, the
Court unanimously approved this matter.
Agenda #7 - Addendum to Data Processing Agreement
- MINUTE ORDER #238/06: Judge Burrows presented
the matter to consider approval of Addendum to Data Processing Agreement
with IHS (Indigent Health Care Solutions) adding Integrated Document
Imaging into the Indigent Health Care Application Software. After due discussion, upon motion of
Commissioner Cortese, seconded by Commissioner Lange, the
Court unanimously approved this matter.
Agenda #8 - Claims
- MINUTE ORDER #239/06: Judge Burrows presented the claims for review to the Court. After proper
review, upon motion of Commissioner Brown, seconded by Commissioner
Cortese, the Court unanimously approved all such claims. All
according to a copy of the same being of record in the office of the
County Auditor.
(The Court then went into workshop session to discuss those items on
the workshop agenda with
no action being taken on any item.)
There being no further business, the meeting
adjourned.
