AFTER proper posting of public notice, a copy of which is attached hereto, on
this the 26th day of June, 2006, the County Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas,
met in the Commissioners' Courtroom in Belton, Texas, in regular session with the

Agenda #1 - Minutes
- MINUTE ORDER #247/06: It being nine a.m., Judge
Jon H. Burrows, called the regular meeting of the Commissioner's
Court to order and called to the Courts attention that they had received
the minutes of June 12, 2006. After due discussion, the minutes
were approved as presented.
Agenda #2a - Traffic Control Devices
- MINUTE ORDER #248/06: County Engineer, Richard
Macchi presented that matter to consider approval of the following
Traffic Control Devices: 1) Install NO PARKING sign on Backstrom
Crossing from F.M. 93 to the north side of Nolan Creek; 2) Install
30 MPH speed limit on Five Wells Road from 0.5 miles south of Wedel
Cemetery Road to 0.8 miles south of Wedel Cemetery. Mr. Macchi
reported that a Public Hearing was held last Monday and no one was
present. After due discussion, upon motion of Commissioner
Cortese, to approve the Traffic Control Devices, seconded by Commissioner
Lange, the Court unanimously approved this matter.
Agenda #2b - Interlocal Agreement - City of Troy
- MINUTE ORDER #249/06: County Engineer, Richard
Macchi presented that matter to consider approval of an Interlocal
Agreement with the City of Troy for the priming and seal coating of City
Streets. After due discussion, upon motion of Commissioner Lange,
seconded by Commissioner Cortese, the Court unanimously approved this matter.
Agenda #2c - Authorize County Judge to sign for
Installation of Signals
- MINUTE ORDER #250/06: County Engineer, Richard
Macchi presented that matter to consider authorizing County Judge to
sign plans for the installation of signals at the intersection of Roberts
Road at the Union Pacific Railroad. After due discussion, upon motion of Commissioner
Cortese, to authorize the County Judge to sign plans for the
installation of signals, seconded by Commissioner
Lange, the Court unanimously approved this matter.
Agenda #3 - Personnel
- MINUTE ORDER #251/06: Upon motion of Commissioner
Fisher, seconded by Commissioner Brown, the
Court unanimously approved all employee status report forms, the same
being attached hereto and made a part of these minutes.
Agenda #4 - Report of North & East Texas County
Judges & Commissioners Association
- MINUTE ORDER #252/06: Judge Burrows
presented a report of the North & East Texas County Judges &
Commissioners Association. The conference was held last week in
Plano, Texas. Judge Burrows was nominated (by Commissioner Cortese)
and elected to serve as Second Vice President of the North & East
Texas County Judges and Commissioners Association. Judge Burrows
reported that Commissioner Cortese is going off as the Immediate Past
President of the Association. The next conference will be held in
Del Lago (2007) and in Waco (2008).
Agenda #5 - Award Construction Contract - 2004 Texas
Community Development Program
- MINUTE ORDER #253/06: Judge Burrows presented the matter
to consider approval of the award of Construction Contract on the 2004
Texas Community Development Program Grant for water plant improvements on
behalf of Bell County WCID #5. Mr. Dan Hejl was present and reported
that there was one (1) bidder, Brazos Valley Utilities, Inc. at
$143,950.00. After due discussion, upon motion of Commissioner
Lange, seconded by Commissioner Fisher, the
Court unanimously approved this matter.
Agenda #6 - Claims
- MINUTE ORDER #254/06: Judge Burrows presented the claims for review to the Court. After proper
review, upon motion of Commissioner Brown, seconded by Commissioner
Cortese, the Court unanimously approved all such claims. All
according to a copy of the same being of record in the office of the
County Auditor.
(The Court then went into workshop session to discuss those items on
the workshop agenda with
no action being taken on any item.)
There being no further business, the meeting
adjourned.
