Agenda #1 - Memory of Eugene H. McKenzie
- MINUTE ORDER #302/06: Judge Burrows asked for
a moment of silence in the memory of Eugene H. McKenzie, Bell County
Justice of the Peace, Precinct 3, Place 1, where he served for eighteen
years. Mr. McKenzie died on July 23, 2006.
Agenda #2 - Minutes
- MINUTE ORDER #303/06: It being nine a.m., Judge
Jon H. Burrows, called the regular meeting of the Commissioner's Court
to order and called to the Courts attention that they had received the
minutes of July 24, 2006. After due discussion,
the minutes were approved as presented.
Agenda #3a - Existing Platted Subdivisions
- MINUTE ORDER #304/06: County Engineer, Richard
Macchi, presented for approval of part 5 to the Bell County
Subdivision Regulations, issue regarding existing platted
subdivisions. After due
discussion, upon motion of COMMISSIONER CORTESE, seconded by
COMMISSIONER BROWN, the
Court unanimously approved this matter.
Agenda #4 - Personnel
- MINUTE ORDER #305/06: Upon motion of COMMISSIONER
FISHER, seconded by COMMISSIONER LANGE, the
Court unanimously approved all employee status report forms, the same
being attached hereto and made a part of these minutes.
Agenda #5 - Collection Contract
- MINUTE ORDER #306/06: The matter of approval
of collection contract with law firm of Linebarger, Goggan, Blair &
Sampson, LLP. in Austin was tabled at this time.
Agenda #6 - Landscaping Trailer
- MINUTE ORDER #307/06: Russell Williams, Assistant
County Auditor presented for consideration awarding bid for one
landscaping trailer for Community Supervision & Corrections
Department. Receiving only one bid from Longhorn Motors in the
amount of $1,850.00. After due discussion, upon motion
of COMMISSIONER CORTESE, seconded by COMMISSIONER LANGE, the
Court unanimously approved to award bid to Longhorn Motors.
Agenda #7 - One- Car Carrier Trailer
- MINUTE ORDER #308/06: Russell Williams, Assistant
County Auditor presented for consideration awarding bid for one
car-carrier trailer for Road & Bridge Department. Receiving bids
from Longhorn Motors and Husky Trailer & Parts Co. After due discussion, upon motion of
COMMISSIONER CORTESE, seconded by COMMISSIONER LANGE, the
Court unanimously approved to award bid to Husky Trailer & Parts Co.
in the amount of $1,880.00.
Agenda #8 - Claims
- MINUTE ORDER #309/06: Judge Jon H. Burrows,
presented the claims for review to the Court. After proper
review, upon motion of COMMISSIONER BROWN, seconded by COMMISSIONER
CORTESE, the Court unanimously approved all such claims. All
according to a copy of the same being of record in the office of the
County Auditor.
(The Court then went into workshop session to discuss those items on
the workshop agenda with
no action being taken on any item.)
There being no further business, the meeting
adjourned.
