Agenda #1 - Minutes
- MINUTE ORDER #424/06: Judge Jon H. Burrows, called
to the Courts attention the fact that they had received the minutes of
September 25, 2006. After due discussion, the minutes were approved as
submitted.
Agenda #2a - Allah Jur Addition
- MINUTE ORDER #425/06: Richard Macchi, County
Engineer, presented for approval the Plat for Allah Jur Addition, a
two-lot, 14.0 acre subdivision in the E.T.J. of the City of Temple. After due discussion,
upon motion of COMMISSIONER LANGE, seconded by COMMISSIONER
CORTESE, the Court unanimously approved this matter.
Agenda #3 - Personnel
- MINUTE ORDER #426/06: Upon motion
of COMMISSIONER BROWN, seconded by COMMISSIONER LANGE, the
Court unanimously approved all employee status report forms, the same
being attached hereto and made a part of these minutes.
Agenda #4 - Burn Ban
- MINUTE ORDER #427/06: Being no change in the current
status, no action was taken to modify the current burn ban in effect.
Agenda #5 - Bell County Extension Agent
- MINUTE ORDER #428/06: Ron Woolley, District 8
Extension Director for Texas Cooperative Extension, presented Micah
Karber for approval as the new Bell County Extension Agent for 4-H &
Youth Development. After due discussion, upon motion
of COMMISSIONER FISHER, seconded by COMMISSIONER BROWN, the
Court unanimously approved this appointment.
Agenda #6 - National 4-H Week
- MINUTE ORDER #429/06: Linda Fuchs, of the
Bell County Extension Office, presented the following members of the Bell
County 4-H Council Officers: Elizabeth White, Amy Heartfield, Dorothy
Wood, Elizabeth Wood, and David Fasolino. Each of these students spoke
of their passion for 4-H and why they are involved. After due discussion, upon motion
of COMMISSIONER BROWN, seconded by COMMISSIONER LANGE, the
Court unanimously approved proclaiming the week of October 1, 2006 as
National 4-H Week in Bell County, Texas.
Agenda #7 - Tax Abatement Agreement
- MINUTE ORDER #430/06: Adam Lucksinger, of the Belton
Feed Store spoke of the new improvements and renovations underway at Belton
Feed & Supply. After due discussion, upon motion
of COMMISSIONER CORTESE, seconded by COMMISSIONER BROWN, the
Court unanimously approved the Tax Abatement Agreement previously approved
by Belton City Council for Belton Feed & Supply located in Belton's Tax
Increment Reinvestment Zone.
Agenda #8 - Bell County Health Facilities Development
Corporation
- MINUTE ORDER #431/06: After due discussion, upon motion
of COMMISSIONER CORTESE, seconded by COMMISSIONER BROWN, the
Court unanimously approved the re-appointment of County Judge Jon Burrows,
Pct 1 Commissioner Richard Cortese, and Pct 2 Commissioner Tim Brown and the
appointment of Pct 3 Commissioner Eddy Lange and Pct 4 Commissioner John
Fisher to the Board of the Bell County Health Facilities Development
Corporation.
Agenda #9 - Policy for Applications for Conduit Financing
Through Bell County Industrial Development Corporation, Bell County Health
Facilities Development Corporation, and Bell County Housing Finance Corporation
- MINUTE ORDER #432/06: After due discussion, upon motion
of COMMISSIONER BROWN, seconded by COMMISSIONER CORTESE, the
Court unanimously approved the Policy for Receiving and Approving
Applications for Participating in Development Projects for conduit financing
through Bell County Industrial Development Corporation, Bell County Health
Facilities Development Corporation, and Bell County Housing Finance
Corporation, a copy of which Policy is attached to the minutes.
Agenda #10 - SB 7 Indigent Defense Grant
- MINUTE ORDER #433/06: After due discussion, upon motion
of COMMISSIONER BROWN, seconded by COMMISSIONER CORTESE, the
Court unanimously approved the application for annual SB 7 Indigent
Defense Grant from the Task Force on Indigent Defense in the projected
amount of $124,541.00 and designation of Authorized Official, Program
Director, and Financial Officer.
Agenda #11 - Statement of Work
- MINUTE ORDER #434/06: After due discussion, upon motion
of COMMISSIONER LANGE, seconded by COMMISSIONER CORTESE, the
Court unanimously approved the Statement of Work (Amendment 1) for Bell
County SB 1863 Collections Project with Enterpulse to increase the
professional service hours necessary to complete required project elements.
Agenda #12 - Claims
- MINUTE ORDER #435/06: Judge Jon H. Burrows, presented the
claims for review to the Court. After proper review, upon motion
of COMMISSIONER BROWN, seconded by COMMISSIONER CORTESE, the
Court unanimously approved all such claims. All according to a copy
of the same being of record in the office of the County Auditor.
(The Court then went into session as the Board of the Bell County Health
Facilities Development Corporation, discussing and taking action on items on
its separately posted agenda.)
(Following meeting as the Board of the Bell County Health Facilities
Development Corporation, the Commissioners
Court then went into Commissioners Court workshop session to discuss those
items on the workshop agenda with
no action being taken on any item. )
There being no further business, the meeting
adjourned.
