Agenda #1 - Minutes
- MINUTE ORDER #501/06: Judge Jon H. Burrows, called
to the Courts attention the fact that they had received the minutes of
November 13, 2006 and November 16, 2006. After due discussion, the minutes were approved as
submitted.
Agenda #2 - County Engineer
- There were no items at this time.
Agenda #3 - Personnel
- MINUTE ORDER #502/06: Upon motion
of COMMISSIONER CORTESE, seconded by COMMISSIONER LANGE, the
Court unanimously approved all employee status report forms, the same being
attached hereto and made a part of these minutes.
Agenda #4 - Waste Management, Inc.
- MINUTE ORDER #503/06: Lee McCormick, Community
Development Corporation presented for approval the Order with Respect to
Waste Management, Inc. Project, for part of which improvement project is in
Bell County, in order to comply with Section 147 (f) of the Internal Revenue
Code and to satisfy public approval standards that are a prerequisite to the
issuance of tax-exempt industrial revenue bonds being issued through the
Mission Economic Development Corporation in Mission, Texas as the
governmental issuer of said tax-exempt bonds. After due discussion, upon
motion of COMMISSIONER LANGE, seconded by COMMISSIONER CORTESE,
the Court unanimously approved this matter.
Agenda #5 - Tax Abatement Agreement
- MINUTE ORDER #504/06: After due discussion, upon motion
by COMMISSIONER LANGE, seconded by COMMISSIONER CORTESE, the
Court unanimously approved a Resolution authorizing a Tax Abatement
Agreement with First Central Joint Venture, which was approved by the City
of Temple. This for a property located at 107 West Central Avenue, 4
South 1st Street, and 6 South 1st Street in the City of Temple. The
agreement is to abate the taxes on real and personal property consistent
with such agreement, and authorizing the County Judge to sign such
agreement.
Agenda #6 - Change Order Number 009
- MINUTE ORDER #505/06: After due discussion, upon motion
of COMMISSIONER BROWN, seconded by COMMISSIONER FISHER, the
Court unanimously approved Change Order Number 009 for the Bell County
Justice Center/District Courts Building.
Agenda #7 - Central Texas Narcotics Task Force
- MINUTE ORDER #506/06: Donna Eakin, Bell County Auditor, presented for approval the
Federal Annual Certification Report for the Central Texas Narcotics Task
Force for the time period of June 1, 2005 through September 30, 2006. After due discussion, upon motion
of COMMISSIONER FISHER, seconded by COMMISSIONER CORTESE,
the Court unanimously approved this matter.
Agenda #8 - Vending Services
- MINUTE ORDER #507/06: Russell Williams,
Assistant County Auditor, presented for approval the
bids for providing vending services for Bell County. After due discussion, upon motion
of COMMISSIONER CORTESE, seconded by COMMISSIONER LANGE,
the Court unanimously approved to award the bid to Automatic Chef Canteen
for a period of 1 year, with the option to renew yearly for up to 5 years.
Agenda #9 - Claims
- MINUTE ORDER #508/06: Judge Jon H. Burrows presented the
claims for review to the Court. After proper review, upon motion
of COMMISSIONER BROWN, seconded by COMMISSIONER CORTESE, the
Court unanimously approved all such claims. All according to a copy
of the same being of record in the office of the County Auditor.
There being no further business, the meeting
adjourned.
