Agenda #1 - Minutes
- MINUTE ORDER #034/07: It being nine a.m., Judge
Jon H. Burrows called
the regular meeting of Commissioner's Court to order and called to the
Courts attention that the minutes of January 8 and January 16, 2007 had been
received. After due discussion, these minutes were approved as
presented.
Agenda #2a - South Mockingbird Road
- MINUTE ORDER #035/07: County Engineer Richard
Macchi presented for approval Tuesday, February 20, 2007 at 9:00 a.m. as
the setting date for a public hearing on the abandonment/vacation of portion
of South Mockingbird Road. After due discussion, upon motion by
Commissioner Lange, seconded by Commissioner Cortese, the Court
unanimously approved this date for the public hearing.
Agenda #2b - Wheat Road
- MINUTE ORDER #036/07: County Engineer Richard
Macchi presented for approval the matter of entering into an agreement
with the BNSF Railroad for the installation of a concrete crossing at Wheat
Road located in Precinct 1. After due discussion, upon motion by
Commissioner Cortese, seconded by Commissioner Brown, the Court
unanimously approved this matter.
Agenda #2c - Advertising for various bids
- MINUTE ORDER #037/07: After due discussion, upon
motion of Commissioner Cortese, seconded by Commissioner Brown,
the Court unanimously approved authorizing COUNTY ENGINEER Richard Macchi to
advertise for bids for liquid asphalts, hot mix, cold mix, pit-run gravel,
lime, cement and concrete.
Agenda #2d - Awarding bid for Spray Injection Asphalt
Patching Machine
- MINUTE ORDER #038/07: After due discussion, upon
motion of Commissioner Lange, seconded by Commissioner Fisher,
the matter of awarding the bid for the purchase of a used Spray-Injection
Asphalt Patching Machine was tabled until January 29, 2007.
Agenda #2e - Crooked Creek Subdivision
- MINUTE ORDER #039/07: County Engineer Richard
Macchi presented for approval the Final Plat of Crooked Creek
Subdivision, a 25-Lot, 54.95 Acre Subdivision in the E.T.J. of the City of
Temple. After due discussion, upon motion of Commissioner Lange,
seconded by Commissioner Cortese, the Court unanimously approved this
matter.
Agenda #3 - Personnel
- MINUTE ORDER #040/07: Upon motion
of Commissioner Brown, seconded by Commissioner Fisher, the
Court unanimously approved all employee status report forms, the same being
attached hereto and made a part of these minutes.
Agenda #4 - Annual Sheriff's Office Awards
- MINUTE ORDER #041/07: Sheriff Dan Smith presented
the Annual Sheriff's Office awards to members of his staff.
Agenda #5 - Policy Guidelines for Court Collections
- MINUTE ORDER #042/07: Judge Jon Burrows presented
the Policy Guidelines for Court Collections in response to Senate Bill 1863
and guidance from the Office of Court Administration. No action taken.
Agenda #6 - Tax Abatement Agreement
- MINUTE ORDER #043/07: After due discussion,
upon motion by Commissioner Lange, seconded by Commissioner
Cortese, the
Court unanimously approved the Tax Abatement Agreement previously approved
by the City of Temple on December 21, 2006 with Oro Holdings, Lts., d/b/a
Gidden Distributing, Inc. for improvements to property located with the City
of Temple Tax Increment Financing Reinvestment Zone No. Eleven.
Agenda #7 - Addendum No. 2 to agreement with Wiginton
Hooker Jeffry, PC Architects and Skanska Construction
- MINUTE ORDER #044/07: No action taken in
reference to Addendum No. 2 to agreement with Wiginton Hooker Jeffry, PC,
Architects, and Skanska Construction making modifications to Project Manual
- Specifications on Bell County Jail Project, and changing proposal due date
to Skanska to be January 25, 2007.
Agenda #8 - Claims
- MINUTE ORDER #045/07: Judge Burrows presented the
claims for review to the Court. After proper review, upon motion
of Commissioner Brown, seconded by Commissioner Cortese, the
Court unanimously approved all such claims. All according to a copy
of the same being of record in the office of the County Auditor.
(The Court then went into workshop session to discuss those items on the
workshop agenda with no action being taken on any item.)
There being no further business, the meeting
adjourned.
