Agenda #1 - Minutes
- MINUTE ORDER #046/07: It being nine a.m., Judge
Jon H. Burrows called
the regular meeting of Commissioners' Court to order and called to the
Courts attention that the minutes of January 22, 2007 had been
received. After due discussion, these minutes were approved as
presented.
Agenda #2a - Tire Recycling Project
- MINUTE ORDER #047/07: County Engineer Richard
Macchi gave a report on the waste tire recycling project conducted
January 18-20, 2007. A total of 6439 tires were collected during the
event. Certificates of Appreciation were presented to Mr. Daniel Lara
and Mr. Jake Lara for their assistance given to this project. After due discussion, upon motion by
Commissioner Cortese, seconded by Commissioner Lange, the Court
unanimously accepted this report.
Agenda #2b - Bell County Policy on Acceptance of
Roads for County Maintenance
- MINUTE ORDER #048/07: County Engineer Richard
Macchi presented for approval the revisions to the Bell County Policy on
Acceptance of Roads for County Maintenance. After due discussion, upon motion by
Commissioner Cortese, seconded by Commissioner Brown, the Court
unanimously approved the revisions, a copy of which is attached and made a
part of these minutes.
Agenda #2c - Letter of Credit No. 1024
- MINUTE ORDER #049/07: After due discussion, upon
motion of Commissioner Lange, seconded by Commissioner Fisher,
the Court unanimously approved releasing Letter of Credit No. 1024 in the
amount of $5,500 for improvements in Moffat Springs V and VII.
Agenda #2d - Awarding bid for Spray Injection Asphalt
Patching Machine
- MINUTE ORDER #050/07: After due discussion, upon
motion of Commissioner Cortese, seconded by Commissioner Lange,
the Court unanimously approved awarding the bid for the purchase of a used
Spray-Injection Asphalt Patching Machine in the amount of $25,000 to Texas
Patcher.
Agenda #3 - Personnel
- MINUTE ORDER #051/07: Upon motion
of Commissioner Fisher, seconded by Commissioner Lange, the
Court unanimously approved all employee status report forms, the same being
attached hereto and made a part of these minutes.
Agenda #4 and #5 - Bell County Museum Annual Report and
Appointment to the Board
- MINUTE ORDER #052/07: Bell County Museum Director
Stephanie Turnham presented for approval the Annual Report of the Bell
County Museum and the appointment of Madelon Carroll to the Board of
Trustees. After due discussion, upon motion by Commissioner Brown,
seconded by Commissioner Lange, the Court unanimously approved these
matters.
Agenda #6 - Application for a Mental Health
Transformation Community Collaborative Project Grant
- MINUTE ORDER #053/07: Following presentation
by Rita Kelley with the Bell County Health Services, Judge Jon Burrows presented
for approval a Resolution authorizing the submission of an application for a
Mental Health Transformation Community Collaborative Project Grant from the
Texas Health Institute. After due discussion, upon motion by
Commissioner Cortese, seconded by Commissioner Brown, the Court
unanimously approved this matter.
Agenda #7 - Bell County Juvenile Detention Center
- MINUTE ORDER #054/07: After due discussion,
upon motion by Commissioner Brown, seconded by Commissioner
Cortese, the Court unanimously approved setting a contract rate of $95
per day per individual for other entities to lease Bell County Juvenile
Detention Center for detention of juveniles.
Agenda #8 - Claims
- MINUTE ORDER #055/07: Judge Jon Burrows presented the
claims for review to the Court. After proper review, upon motion
of Commissioner Brown, seconded by Commissioner Cortese, the
Court unanimously approved all such claims. All according to a copy
of the same being of record in the office of the County Auditor.
Agenda #9 - Executive Session
- MINUTE ORDER #056/07: Judge Jon Burrows
announced that the Court would go into Executive Session on Personnel
Matters under Section 551.074 of the Government Code.
(The Court then went into workshop session to discuss those items on the
workshop agenda with no action being taken on any item.)
There being no further business, the meeting
adjourned.
