AFTER proper posting of public notice, a copy of which is attached hereto, on this the 12th day of March, 2007, the County Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas, met in the Commissioners' Courtroom in Belton, Texas, in regular session with the following members of said Court present, to-wit:

  1. Agenda #1 - Minutes

    • MINUTE ORDER #109/07:  It being nine a.m., Judge Jon H. Burrows, called the regular meeting of the Commissioners' Court to order and called to the Courts attention that the minutes of the March 5, 2007, regular session, and the minutes of the March 5, 2007, special session had been received.  After due discussion, these minutes were approved as presented.



  2. Agenda #2a - Wilkerson Valley Road

    • MINUTE ORDER #110/07:  County Engineer Richard Macchi presented  for approval April 2, 2007, at 9:00 a.m. as the date for a public hearing for the abandonment of Right of Way for Wilkerson Valley Road.  After due discussion, upon motion by Commissioner Tim Brown, second by Commissioner John Fisher, the Court unanimously approved this matter. 



  3. Agenda #2b - Letter of Credit No. 538

    • MINUTE ORDER #111/07:  After due discussion, upon motion by Commissioner Tim Brown, second by Commissioner John Fisher, the Court unanimously approved releasing Letter of Credit No. 538, First State Bank Central Texas in the amount of $12,500 for the warranty of improvements in Mill Creek Springs, Phase V.  



  4. Agenda #2c - Annual Work Plan

    • MINUTE ORDER #112/07:  County Engineer Richard Macchi presented  for approval the 2007Annual Work Plan.  A copy of which is included with these minutes.  After due discussion, upon motion by Commissioner Richard Cortese, second by Commissioner Tim Brown, the Court unanimously approved this matter. 



  5. Agenda #2d - Annual Seal Coat Program

    • MINUTE ORDER #113/07:  County Engineer Richard Macchi presented  for approval the Annual Seal Coat Program.  A copy of which is included with these minutes.  After due discussion, upon motion by Commissioner Richard Cortese, second by Commissioner John Fisher, the Court unanimously approved this matter. 



  6. Agenda #3 - Personnel

    • MINUTE ORDER #114/07:   Upon motion of Commissioner Tim Brown, second by Commissioner Eddy Lange, the Court unanimously approved all employee status report forms, the same being attached hereto and made a part of these minutes.



  7. Agenda #4 - Automatic Voting Machine Dedication

    • MINUTE ORDER #115/07:   The Court received Certificate from Texas Secretary of State Roger William honoring Bell County for the dedication of an Automatic Voting Machine (lever voting machine) to the Elections Division of the Secretary of State for historical display in Austin, said machine having been purchased in 1964 and placed into service for the September 7, 1965 Texas Constitutional Amendment Election and last used in the November 8, 2005 Constitutional Amendment Election.  No action taken..  



  8. Agenda #5 - Engineered Air Balance Co., Inc.

    • MINUTE ORDER #116/07:  After due discussion, upon motion by Commissioner Tim Brown, second by Commissioner Eddy Lange, the Court unanimously approved the selection of Engineered Air Balance Co., Inc. as a qualified firm based on its response to the Request for Qualifications and authorize entering into negotiations to obtain a Contract for Services for Testing and Balancing, particularly for the new Bell County Jail Addition Project.



  9. Agenda #6 - Claims

    • MINUTE ORDER #117/07:  County Judge Jon Burrows presented the claims for review to the Court.  After proper review, upon motion of Commissioner Tim Brown, seconded by Commissioner Richard Cortese, the Court unanimously approved all such claims.  All according to a copy of the same being of record in the office of the County Auditor.    



  10.         (The Court then went into workshop session to discuss those items on the workshop agenda with no action being
             taken on any item.)


             There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.
