Agenda #1 - Minutes
- MINUTE ORDER #145/07: It being nine a.m.,
Judge Jon H. Burrows, called the regular meeting of the Commissioners' Court to
order and called to the Courts attention that the minutes of March 26, 2007
regular session and 3:00 p.m. session,
had been received. After due discussion, these minutes were
approved as presented.
Agenda #2a - Public Hearing
- MINUTE ORDER #146/07: Judge Jon H. Burrows
opened the public hearing regarding approval of the Abandonment of Wilkerson
Valley Road. Mr. Louis Ashworth of Killeen spoke in favor of the
abandonment. There being no other public comment, the public hearing
was closed. After due discussion, upon motion by
Commissioner Tim Brown, second by Commissioner Eddy Lange, the
Court unanimously approved this matter.
Agenda #2b - Landfill Road
- MINUTE ORDER #147/07: County Engineer Richard
Macchi presented for approval April 30. 2007 at 9:00 a.m. for a public
hearing on the Vacation of a portion of what was once Landfill Road. After due discussion, upon motion by
Commissioner Tim Brown, second by Commissioner Richard Cortese, the
Court unanimously approved this matter.
Agenda #2c - Lindemann Road
- MINUTE ORDER #148/07: After due discussion, upon motion by
Commissioner Tim Brown, second by Commissioner Richard Cortese, the
Court unanimously approved authorizing County Engineer Richard Macchi
to advertise for bids for fencing on Lindemann Road.
Agenda #2d - Chupik Subdivision
- MINUTE ORDER #149/07: County Engineer Richard
Macchi presented for final approval the Plat for Chupik Subdivision, a
One-Lot, 0.90 Acre Subdivision fronting on Stag Road. After due discussion, upon motion by
Commissioner Richard Cortese, second by Commissioner Eddy Lange, the
Court unanimously approved this matter.
Agenda #2e - Eagle Oaks At the Lake
- MINUTE ORDER #150/07: County Engineer Richard
Macchi presented for preliminary approval the Plat for Eagle Oaks At the
Lake, Phase II, a 19-Lot, 13.57 Acre Development in the E.T.J. of the City
of Temple. After due discussion, upon motion by
Commissioner Richard Cortese, second by Commissioner Tim Brown, the
Court unanimously approved this matter.
Agenda #3 - Personnel
- MINUTE ORDER #151/07: Upon motion of
Commissioner Tim Brown, second by Commissioner Eddy Lange, the
Court unanimously approved all employee status report forms, the same being
attached hereto and made a part of these minutes.
Agenda #4 - House Joint Resolution 61
- MINUTE ORDER #152/07: After due discussion,
upon motion by Judge Jon Burrows, second by Commissioner Tim Brown,
the Court unanimously approved a Resolution in support of House Joint
Resolution (HJR) 61 by Rep. Wayne Smith, chairman of the House County
Affairs Committee, that calls for a constitutional amendment prohibiting
unfunded mandates being imposed on Texas Counties by the State.
Agenda #5 - County Judge and Commissioners Committee
on People with Disabilities
- MINUTE ORDER #153/07: The Court received
report from Steve Rublee on current activities of the County Judge and
Commissioners Committee on People with Disabilities. No action taken.
Agenda #6 - SB 2061
- MINUTE ORDER #154/07: The Court received a
report on the passage of SB 2061, its signing into law by the Governor, and
its immediate effect upon the Governor's approval, with the purpose of
addressing the acquisition or disclosure of social security numbers by a
district or county clerk. No action taken.
Agenda #7 - FY 2008-2011 K-TUTS Transportation
Improvement Plan
- MINUTE ORDER #155/07: Shannon Mattingly, Director of
the Killeen-Temple Urban Transportation Study (K-TUTS Metropolitan Planning
Organization (MPO) presented the FY 2008-2011 Transportation Improvement
Plan (TIP), a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part of these
minutes. No action taken.
Agenda #8 - Change Order #004
- MINUTE ORDER #156/07: After due discussion, upon motion by
Commissioner Richard Cortese, second by Commissioner Eddy Lange, the
Court unanimously approved Change Order #004 with Skanska USA Building, Inc.
for the Bell County Annex & Sheriff's Office Project.
Agenda #9 - Claims
- MINUTE ORDER #157/07: County Judge Jon Burrows presented the
claims for review to the Court. After proper review, upon motion
of Commissioner Tim Brown, second by Commissioner Richard Cortese,
the Court unanimously approved all such claims. All according to a
copy of the same being of record in the office of the County Auditor.
(The Court then went into workshop session to discuss those items on the
workshop agenda with no action being
taken on any item.)
There being no further business, the meeting
adjourned.
