- MINUTE ORDER #196/07: It being nine a.m.,
Judge Jon H. Burrows called the regular meeting of the
Commissioners' Court to order and called to the Courts attention that the
minutes of April 30, 2007 regular session had been received. After due
discussion, these minutes were accepted as presented.
Agenda #2a - Nolan Creek Watershed
- MINUTE ORDER #197/07: County Engineer Richard
Macchi presented for approval the Emergency Action Plan (EAP) for Site
15 in the Nolan Creek Watershed. After due discussion, upon motion by
Commissioner Tim Brown, second by Commissioner John Fisher,
the Court unanimously approved this matter.
Agenda #2b - Twelve Oaks Estates
- MINUTE ORDER #198/07: County Engineer Richard
Macchi presented for approval the Final Plat for Twelve Oaks Estates, a
Three-Lot, 3.0 Acre Subdivision off of Rose Lane in the E.T.J. of the
Village of Salado. After due discussion, upon motion by
Commissioner Tim Brown, second by Commissioner John Fisher,
the Court unanimously approved this matter.
Agenda #2c - Mill Creek Springs
- MINUTE ORDER #199/07: County Engineer Richard
Macchi presented for approval an agreement with Kleinfelder to do a
geotechnical investigation of a failed roadway in Mill Creek Springs. After due discussion, upon motion by
Commissioner Tim Brown, second by Commissioner Eddy Lange,
the Court unanimously approved this matter.
Agenda #3 - Personnel
- MINUTE ORDER #200/07: Upon motion of
Commissioner Eddy Lange, second by Commissioner Tim Brown, the
Court unanimously approved all employee status report forms, the same being
attached hereto and made a part of these minutes.
Agenda #4 - Bell County Historical Commission
- MINUTE ORDER #201/07: Judge Jon
Burrows recognized and honored Ron Gates, Chairman, and the Bell County
Historical Commission on its selection to receive the Distinguished Service
Award for County Historical Commissions from the Texas Historical Commission
for Bell County's active and well-balanced preservation program. This
award was presented to Bell County at the Annual Historical Preservation
Conference on April 13, 2007, and it was Bell County's 15th Award. No
action taken.
Agenda #5 - 2006 Texas Historical Commission's George
Christian Outstanding Volunteer of the Year Award
- MINUTE ORDER #202/07: Judge Jon Burrows
recognized and honored David Evans of Salado for his receipt of the 2006
Texas Historical Commission's George Christian Outstanding Volunteer of the
Year Award. The award recognizes an individual for outstanding
volunteer service to historic preservation efforts in Texas. Only one
award was presented at the Annual Historic Preservation Conference in April,
and it was presented to Mr. Evans. Mr. Evans served 20 years as the
Bell County Historical Commission's Marker Chairman, where he guided scores
of applications seeking recognition of Bell County historic properties and
persons through the Texas Historical Commission official State Historical
Marker Program. No action taken.
Agenda #6 - Central Texas Counties MHMR Authority's
Board of Trustees
- MINUTE ORDER #203/07: Judge Jon
Burrows presented for approval and ratification of the appointment of
Ms. Samantha Anderson of Coryell County to fill the unexpired term as
Coryell County's Representative on the Central Counties MHMR
Authority's Board of Trustees. After due discussion, upon motion by
Commissioner Eddy Lange, second by Commissioner John Fisher,
the Court unanimously approved this matter.
Agenda #7 - Emergency Management Department
- MINUTE ORDER #204/07: Judge Jon Burrows presented for approval
the purchase and corresponding budget amendment for a replacement vehicle
for Emergency Management Department. After due discussion, upon motion by
Commissioner John Fisher, second by Commissioner Eddy Lange,
the Court unanimously approved this matter. A copy of the budget
amendment is attached hereto and made a part of these minutes.
Agenda #8 - Bell County Auction
- MINUTE ORDER #205/07: The Court received a
report from Russell Williams, Assistant Bell County Auditor, with the
results of the County Auction held on April 21, 2007. After due discussion, upon motion by
Commissioner Eddy Lange, second by Commissioner Tim Brown,
the Court unanimously approved this report. A copy of said
report is attached hereto and made a part of these minutes.
Agenda #9 - May 12th Constitutional Amendment Election
- MINUTE ORDER #206/07: County Clerk Shelley
Coston gave a reminder report about the consolidation of voting locations
for the May 12th Constitutional Amendment Election to five locations for
both Early Voting and Election Day Voting.

Agenda #10 - Claims
- MINUTE ORDER #207/07: Judge Jon Burrows presented the
claims for review to the Court. After proper review, upon motion
of Commissioner Tim Brown, second by Commissioner John Fisher,
the Court unanimously approved all such claims. All according to a
copy of the same being of record in the office of the County Auditor.
(The Court then went into workshop session to discuss those items on the
workshop agenda with no action being
taken on any item.)
