Agenda #1 - Minutes
- MINUTE ORDER #208/07: It being nine a.m.,
Judge Jon H. Burrows called the regular meeting of the Commissioners'
Court to order and called to the Courts attention that the minutes of May 7,
2007 regular session had been received. After due discussion, these
minutes were approved as presented.
Agenda #2a - Public Hearing
- MINUTE ORDER #209/07: Judge Jon Burrows
opened a public hearing at 9:06 a.m. to consider approval of the following
Traffic Control Devices:
1. Install 30 MPH speed limit on Robin Lane and
Cardinal Dr., Singing Quail Est.
2. Install 30 MPH speed limit on Lago Vista Drive,
Colinas del Lago Subdivision.
3. Install 25 MPH speed limit on Spanish Oak Lane,
Lorli Lane, Betty Place and Amanda Drive, Berry's
Live Oak Estates.
4. Install 50 MPH speed limit on Bob White Road from
Little Flock Road to F.M. 3117.
Hearing no public comments, Judge Jon Burrows closed the public
hearing. After due discussion, upon motion by
Commissioner Eddy Lange, second by Commissioner John Fisher,
the Court unanimously approved this matter.
Agenda #2b - Interlocal Agreement
- MINUTE ORDER #210/07: County Engineer Richard
Macchi presented for approval an Interlocal Agreement with the Village
of Salado for the seal coating of approximately two (2) miles of Village
streets. After due discussion, upon motion by
Commissioner Tim Brown, second by Commissioner John Fisher,
the Court unanimously approved this matter.
Agenda #2c - Interlocal Agreement
- MINUTE ORDER #211/07: County Engineer Richard
Macchi presented for approval an Interlocal Agreement with the City of
Little River-Academy for the purchase of cold mix from the County. After due discussion, upon motion by
Commissioner Eddy Lange, second by Commissioner Tim Brown,
the Court unanimously approved this matter.
Agenda #2d - Liquid Asphalt and Hot Mix Asphalt
- MINUTE ORDER #212/07: County Engineer Richard
Macchi presented for approval price adjustments for liquid asphalt and
hot mix asphalt. After due discussion, upon motion by
Commissioner John Fisher, second by Commissioner Eddy Lange,
the Court unanimously approved this matter.
Agenda #2e - Bid Award - 2,000 Gallon Truck Mounted
Water Tank
- MINUTE ORDER #213/07: County Engineer Richard
Macchi presented for approval awarding bid for the purchase of a 2,000
gallon truck mounted water tank to Smith Tank Co. of Tyler, Texas in the
amount of $11,500. After due discussion, upon motion by
Commissioner Tim Brown, second by Commissioner John Fisher,
the Court unanimously approved this matter.
Agenda #2f - Bid Award - Rip Rap Rock
- MINUTE ORDER #214/07: County Engineer Richard
Macchi presented for approval awarding bid for the purchase of rip-rap
rock to all four suppliers who submitted bids. After due discussion, upon motion by
Commissioner John Fisher, second by Commissioner Eddy Lange,
the Court unanimously approved this matter.
Agenda #2g - Final Plat Approval
- MINUTE ORDER #215/07: County Engineer Richard
Macchi presented Final Plat approval of Glory Bee Addition, a One-Lot,
One Acre Subdivision fronting on Oakalla Road in the E.T.J. of the City of
Copperas Cove. After due discussion, upon motion by
Commissioner John Fisher, second by Commissioner Tim Brown,
the Court unanimously approved this matter.
Agenda #3 - Personnel
- MINUTE ORDER #216/07: Upon motion of
Commissioner Tim Brown, second by Commissioner Eddy Lange, the
Court unanimously approved all employee status report forms, the same being
attached hereto and made a part of these minutes.
Agenda #4 - National Police Week
- MINUTE ORDER #217/07: Judge Jon
Burrows presented for approval a Proclamation declaring the week of May
14 through May 20, 2007 as National Police Week and May 15th as Peace
Officers Memorial Day and announcing the Annual Police Memorial Day
Ceremonies to begin at 10:00 a.m. on May 15th at the Flag Pole in front of
the Bell County Courthouse at Main and Central in Belton. A copy of
said Proclamation is attached hereto and made part of these minutes. After due discussion, upon motion by
Commissioner Eddy Lange, second by Commissioner Tim Brown,
the Court unanimously approved this matter.
Agenda #5 - Air Evac Lifeteam
- MINUTE ORDER #218/07: Judge Jon Burrows
presented for approval authorization for Air Evac Lifeteam, as an emergency
medical services provider, under Section 773.011 of the Texas Health &
Safety Code to operate a subscription emergency prehospital care service
within Bell County. After due discussion, upon motion by
Commissioner John Fisher, second by Commissioner Tim Brown,
the Court unanimously approved this matter.
Agenda #6 - Interlocal Agreement
- MINUTE ORDER #219/07: After due discussion, upon motion by
Commissioner Tim Brown, second by Commissioner John Fisher, the
Court unanimously approved authorizing the County Judge to sign an
Interlocal Agreement with Region IV Education Service Center for cooperative
purchasing purposes. A copy of same is attached hereto and made a part
of these minutes.
Agenda #7 - Bell County Expo Center
- MINUTE ORDER #220/07: Tim Stephens, Executive
Director of the Bell County Exposition Center presented for approval
awarding the Bell County Expo Center exterior renovation contract in the
amount of $1,893,000 to Stewart Builders, Ltd. A copy of said contract
is attached hereto and made part of these minutes. After due discussion, upon motion by
Commissioner John Fisher, second by Commissioner Tim Brown, the
Court unanimously approved this matter.
Agenda #8 - Statement of Work with FusionBridge Ltd.
- MINUTE ORDER #221/07: Judge Jon Burrows
presented for approval the Statement of Work for contract with FusionBridge,
Ltd. for support in the review, assessing and testing of the Bell County
Payroll Budgeting Forecasting Assessment application update. A copy of
said Statement of Work is attached hereto and made part of these minutes. After due discussion, upon motion by
Commissioner Eddy Lange, second by Commissioner Tim Brown,
the Court unanimously approved this matter.
Agenda #9 - Claims
- MINUTE ORDER #222/07: Judge Jon Burrows presented the
claims for review to the Court. After proper review, upon motion
of Commissioner Tim Brown, second by Commissioner John Fisher,
the Court unanimously approved all such claims. All according to a
copy of the same being of record in the office of the County Auditor.
(The Court then went into workshop session to discuss those items on the
workshop agenda with no action being
taken on any item.)
