Agenda #1 - Sale and Issuance of Bonds by Bell County
Health Facilities Development Corporation
- MINUTE ORDER #242/07: It being four p.m.,
Judge Jon Burrows called the regular special meeting of the Commissioners'
Court to order and John Messer, attorney for the Bell County Health
Facilities Development Corporation, presented for approval the issuance of
revenue bonds for Cook Children's Hospital and the adoption of a Resolution
approving the sale and issuance of bonds by Bell County Health Facilities
Development Corporation for the purpose of financing certain health
facilities for the benefit of Cook Children's Medical Center and its
affiliates; confirmation of public hearing requirements for the project;
approving the bonds and the project as required by Section 147(f) of the
Internal Revenue Code of 1986, a amended; and providing an effective date;
and related matters. The Court received and considered the report and
recommendation of Garry Kimble, financial advisor from First
Southwest Company, that the issuance was in order, that Cook Children's
Hospital was financially strong, and that the transaction be approved.
After due discussion, upon motion by Commissioner Tim Brown, second by
Commissioner Richard Cortese, the Court unanimously approved the matter
and the presented Resolution, a copy of which is attached to these minutes.
There being no further business, the meeting
adjourned.
