Agenda #1 - Minutes
- MINUTE ORDER #313/07: It being nine a.m.,
Judge Jon Burrows called the regular meeting of the Commissioners' Court
to order and called to the Courts attention that the minutes of August 06,
2007, regular session had been received. After due discussion, these
minutes were approved as presented.
Agenda #2a - County Engineer
- MINUTE ORDER #314/07: County Engineer Richard
Macchi
presented for approval an Interlocal Agreement with the City of Troy for the
seal coating of various city streets; cleaning the ditches along a portion
of Lower Troy Road; and blading a portion of Turkey Road in the city limits. After due discussion, upon motion by
Commissioner Eddy Lange, second by
Commissioner Richard Cortese, the Court unanimously approved this
matter.
Agenda #2b - Eagle Oaks at the Lake
- MINUTE ORDER #315/07: County Engineer Richard
Macchi
presented for approval Final Plat for Eagle Oaks at the Lake, Phase II, a 19
Lot, 13.57 Acre Subdivision in the E.T.J. of the City of Temple. After due discussion, upon motion by
Commissioner Richard Cortese, second by
Commissioner Eddy Lange, the Court unanimously approved this
matter.
Agenda #3 - Personnel
- MINUTE ORDER #316/07: Upon motion of
Commissioner Tim Brown, second by Commissioner Eddy Lange, the
Court unanimously approved all employee status report forms with approved
budget amendment, the same being
attached hereto and made a part of these minutes.
Agenda #4 - Re-announcing Date, Time and Place for
Presentation of the FY 2008 Budget, Public Hearings and Approval of the Budget
and Tax Rates
- MINUTE ORDER #317/07: Judge Jon Burrows
re-announced the following dates, times and places for the presentation of the FY 2008
Budget, Public Hearings and approval of the Budget and Tax Rates with all
meetings to be in the Commissioners' Courtroom:
1. August 15, 2007 at 9:00 a.m., for the first Public
Hearing on the Tax Rates;
2. August 20, 2007 at 9:00 a.m., for the presentation
of the Budget, the Public Hearing on the Budget, and the
second Public Hearing on the Tax Rates;
3. August 27, 2007 at 9:00 a.m., for approval of the
Budget and approval of the Tax Rates.
Agenda #5 - Hazard Mitigation Plan
- MINUTE ORDER #318/07: Judge Jon Burrows
presented for approval a Resolution adopting Hazard Mitigation Plan and
other matters. After due discussion, upon motion by
Commissioner John Fisher, second by Commissioner Richard Cortese,
the Court unanimously approved this Plan, a copy of which is attached hereto
and made a part of these minutes.
Agenda #6 - Change Order #1 - Bell County Extension
Office Renovation
- MINUTE ORDER #319/07: After due discussion, upon motion by
Commissioner Richard Cortese, second by Commissioner Eddy Lange,
the Court unanimously approved Change Order #1 in the amount of $8,687.72
with Jamail Construction for HVAC renovation of the Bell County Extension
Office at the North Annex in Belton.
Agenda #7 - 2-1-1 Information and Referral Call Center
Contract Renewal
- MINUTE ORDER #320/07: Wanda Williams,
Director, Central Texas Info & Referral system, presented for approval
the renewal of contract between Bell County and Central Texas Information
and Referral/2-1-1 in which Bell County is compensated for its costs in
providing personnel to serve as a 2-1-1 operator, a copy of which is
attached hereto and made a part of these minutes. After due discussion, upon motion by
Commissioner Tim Brown, second by Commissioner Eddy Lange,
the Court unanimously approved this matter.
Agenda #8 - Bell County Lake Report
- MINUTE ORDER #321/07: Corps of Engineers Park Ranger
Murray McCarley gave a presentation on how the dams at Lake Belton and Lake
Stillhouse have handled the 2007 rains and flood discharges and a depiction
of what would have happened if the dams were not in place. No action
taken.
Agenda #9 - Bell County Flood Damage and
Disaster Assistance Status
- MINUTE ORDER #322/07: Dennis Baker, Director of
Emergency Management Services for Bell County presented an update to the
Court regarding Bell County Flooding Damage and Disaster Assistance status.
He advised FEMA's Mobile Disaster Unit has accepted applications from 256 Bell
County families, and the Unit will be in Salado August
13-17, 2007. No action was taken
Agenda #10 - Claims
- MINUTE ORDER #323/07: Judge Jon Burrows presented the
claims for review to the Court. After proper review, upon motion
of Commissioner Tim Brown, second by Commissioner Richard
Cortese,
the Court unanimously approved all such claims. All according to a
copy of the same being of record in the office of the County Auditor.
(The Court then went into workshop session to discuss those items on the
workshop agenda with no action being
taken on any item.)
There being no further business, the meeting
adjourned.
