met in the Commissioners' Courtroom in Belton, Texas, in regular session with the

Agenda #1 - Minutes
- MINUTE ORDER #405/07: It being nine a.m.,
Judge Jon Burrows called the regular meeting of the Commissioners' Court
to order and called to the Courts attention that the minutes of October 01,
2007 regular session had been received. After due discussion, these
minutes were approved as presented.
Agenda #2a - County Engineer
- MINUTE ORDER #406/07: County Engineer Richard
Macchi
requested authorization for the purchase, off the State Buy Board, of a
track loader, a Caterpillar 963, for $259,592.00, and a self-propelled
pneumatic roller, a Caterpillar PS150C for $75,692.00.
After due discussion, upon motion by Commissioner Eddy Lange, second
by Commissioner Richard Cortese, the Court unanimously approved this
matter.
Agenda #2b - Adcock Addition
- MINUTE ORDER #407/07: County Engineer Richard
Macchi
presented for approval the final Plat of Adcock Addition, a One-Lot, Two
Acre Subdivision at the corner of Sullivan Road and Volo Road. After due discussion, upon motion by Commissioner
Richard Cortese, second
by Commissioner Tim Brown, the Court unanimously approved
this matter.
Agenda #3 - Personnel
- MINUTE ORDER #408/07: Upon motion by
Commissioner Tim Brown, second by Commissioner John Fisher, the
Court unanimously approved all employee status report forms with approved
budget amendment, the same being
attached hereto and made a part of these minutes.
Agenda #4 - National 4-H Week in Bell County
- MINUTE ORDER #409/07: County Judge Jon Burrows
recognized Micah Karber with the Bell County Texas Cooperative Extension
Staff along with the Bell County 4-H Teen Ambassadors. After due
discussion, upon motion by Commissioner
John Fisher, second
by Commissioner Eddy Lange, the Court unanimously approved and
presented a Proclamation celebrating 100 years of 4-H and setting October 7
- 13 as National 4-H Week in Bell County. A copy of said Proclamation
is attached hereto and made a part of these minutes.
Agenda #5 - Re-Appointment to the Board of Bell County
Expo, Incorporated
- MINUTE ORDER #410/07: After due discussion, upon motion by
Commissioner John Fisher and seconded
by Commissioner Richard Cortese, the Court unanimously approved the
re-appointment to the Board of Bell County Expo, Incorporated of Mitchell
Jacobs, Randy Ramsey, and Ronnie Goodnight for an additional three-year term
starting October 1, 2007 and ending September 30, 2010.
Agenda #6 - Coryell County's Representative on the
Central Counties MHMR Board of Trustees
- MINUTE ORDER #411/07: After due discussion, upon motion by
Commissioner Richard Cortese, second by
Commissioner Tim Brown, the Court unanimously approved and ratified
Coryell County's appointment of Martha Jackson of Coryell County to fill the
unexpired term as Coryell County's Representative on the Central Counties
MHMR Board of Trustees.
Agenda #7 - Order of Election for School Board Trustee
in the Moody Independent School District
- MINUTE ORDER #412/07: County Clerk, Shelley
Coston presented for approval an Order of Election for School Board
Trustee in the Moody Independent School District. After due discussion, upon motion by
Commissioner Eddy Lange, second by Commissioner Richard Cortese,
the Court unanimously approved this matter. A copy of said Order is
attached hereto and made part of these minutes.
Agenda #8 - Texas Historic Courthouse Preservation
Program
- MINUTE ORDER #413/07: County Judge Jon Burrows
presented for approval a Resolution of Support for Bell County to submit
an application for grant funding to the Texas Historic Courthouse
Preservation Program, Round V, and authorizing other related matters to the
application. After due discussion, upon motion by
Commissioner Tim Brown, second by Commissioner Richard Cortese,
the Court unanimously approved this matter.
Agenda #9 - Claims
- MINUTE ORDER #414/07: Judge Jon Burrows presented the
claims for review to the Court. After proper review, upon motion
of Commissioner Tim Brown, second by Commissioner Richard
Cortese,
the Court unanimously approved all such claims. All according to a
copy of the same being of record in the office of the County Auditor.
(The Court then went into workshop session to discuss those items on the
workshop agenda with no action being
taken on any item.)
There being no further business, the meeting
adjourned.
