Agenda #1 - Minutes
- MINUTE ORDER #457/07: It being nine a.m.,
Judge Jon Burrows called the regular meeting of the Commissioners' Court
to order and called to the Courts attention that the minutes of November 5,
2007 regular session had been received. After due discussion, these
minutes were approved as presented.
Agenda #2a - County Engineer
- MINUTE ORDER #458/07: County Engineer Richard
Macchi presented for approval releasing the Letter of Guaranty, in the
amount of $2,500 from Central Bank, Temple, for warranty of improvements in
Songbird Estates, Precinct 1. After due discussion, upon motion by Commissioner
Richard Cortese, second
by Commissioner Eddy Lange, the Court unanimously approved
this matter.
Agenda #2b - Terra Bella, Phase II
- MINUTE ORDER #459/07: County Engineer Richard
Macchi presented for approval releasing surety for the road and drainage
improvements in Terra Bella, Phase II, a private road subdivision in
Precinct 2. After due discussion, upon motion by Commissioner
Tim Brown, second
by Commissioner John Fisher, the Court unanimously approved
this matter.
Agenda #2c - Interlocal Agreement with Little
River-Academy
- MINUTE ORDER #460/07: County Engineer Richard
Macchi presented for approval an Interlocal Agreement with the City of
Little River-Academy for the cleaning out of ditches along several roads in
the City. After due discussion, upon motion by Commissioner
Richard Cortese, second
by Commissioner Eddy Lange, the Court unanimously approved
this matter.
Agenda #3 - Personnel
- MINUTE ORDER #461/07: Upon motion by
Commissioner John Fisher, second by Commissioner Richard Cortese, the
Court unanimously approved all employee status report forms with approved
budget amendment, the same being
attached hereto and made a part of these minutes.
Agenda #4 - Order Restricting Outdoor Burning
- MINUTE ORDER #462/07: Upon receipt of report
from Fire Marshall Steve Casey, County Judge Jon Burrows presented
for approval an Order Restricting Outdoor Burning effective November 14,
2007, at sunrise for the next thirty (30) days. After due
discussion, upon motion by Commissioner
Eddy Lange, second
by Commissioner Richard Cortese, the Court unanimously approved this
matter. A copy of said Order is attached hereto and made a part of
these minutes.
Agenda #5 - Proclamation Honoring Temple Daily Telegram
- MINUTE ORDER #463/07: County Judge Jon
Burrows presented for approval a Proclamation honoring the Temple Daily
Telegram on its 100th Anniversary and proclaiming Sunday, November 18, 2007
as "Temple Daily Telegram Day" in Bell County, Texas. After due
discussion, upon motion by Commissioner
Richard Cortese, second
by Commissioner Tim Brown, the Court unanimously approved this
matter. A copy of said Proclamation is attached hereto and made a part
of these minutes.
Agenda #6 - Awarding Bid #36-07
- MINUTE ORDER #464/07: After due discussion, upon motion by
Commissioner Tim Brown, second by Commissioner Richard Cortese,
the Court unanimously approved awarding Bid #36-07 to the next low bidder,
Derek Scott's Auto Park for a full-size program sedan, due to unavailability
of the low bid vehicle because of its prior sell.
Agenda #7 - Transporting of Bodies for Autopsies.
- MINUTE ORDER #465/07: Judge Jon Burrows
presented for approval of an Option to extend for one year, at the same
terms, the contract for "the transporting of Bodies for Autopsies." After due discussion, upon motion by
Commissioner Eddy Lange, second by Commissioner Tim Brown,
the Court unanimously approved this matter.
Agenda #8 - Contracts with Central Texas Council of
Governments (CTCOG)
- MINUTE ORDER #466/07: After due discussion, upon motion by
Commissioner Tim Brown, second by Commissioner John Fisher, the
Court unanimously approved contracts with the Central Texas Council of
Governments (CTCOG), as Grantee, and Bell County, as Service Provider, in
aid of CJD Grant No. JA-06-J20-14340-09, titled Regional Purchase of
Juvenile Justice Alternatives.
Agenda #9 - Public Hearing in accordance with Texas Tax
Code
- MINUTE ORDER #467/07: Upon motion by
Commissioner Tim Brown, second by Commissioner Richard Cortese,
date for Public Hearing on the adoption of an Order to continue to tax
personal property in transit which would otherwise be exempt pursuant to new
Section 11.253 of the Texas Tax Code was set as Monday, November 26, 2007 at
9:00 a.m.
(The Court then went into workshop session to discuss those items on the
workshop agenda with no action being taken on any item.)
There being no further business, the meeting
adjourned.
