this the 3rd day of December, 2007, the County Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas,
met in the Commissioners' Courtroom in Belton, Texas, in regular session with the

Agenda #1 - Minutes
- MINUTE ORDER #494/07: It being nine a.m.,
Judge Jon Burrows called the regular meeting of the Commissioners' Court
to order and called to the Courts attention that the minutes of November 26,
2007 regular session had been received. After due discussion, these
minutes were approved as presented.
Agenda #2a - Awarding Bid for Three (3) Dump Trucks
- MINUTE ORDER #495/07: After due discussion, upon motion by Commissioner
Eddy Lange, second
by Commissioner John Fisher, the Court unanimously approved awarding
the bid for the purchase of three, 5.5 C.Y. Dump Trucks to Longhorn
International in the amount of $168,680.40.
Agenda #2b - Letters of Credit Number 482 and 483
- MINUTE ORDER #496/07: After due discussion, upon motion by Commissioner
John Fisher, second
by Commissioner Tim Brown, the Court unanimously approved releasing
Letters of Credit Numbers 482 and 483, First Texas Bank, in the amounts of
$13,750 and $2,600, respectively for the maintenance of improvements on
Walnut Creek Estates, Phases 7 and 6, respectively.
Agenda #3 - Personnel
- MINUTE ORDER #497/07: Upon motion by
Commissioner Tim Brown, second by Commissioner Eddy Lange, the
Court unanimously approved all employee status report forms with approved
budget amendment, the same being
attached hereto and made a part of these minutes.
Agenda #4 - Recognition of Tax Assessor/Collector for
Specialty Plate Program
- MINUTE ORDER #498/07: After due discussion,
upon motion by
Commissioner Tim Brown, second by Commissioner John Fisher, the
Court unanimously accepted Resolution and Certificate of Appreciation of
Bell County Tax Assessor/Collector Sharon Long from the Texas Department of
Transportation honoring her and her staff for being one of three counties to
pilot test the automated Specialty Plate program and for their efforts in
enhancing service to the public and maintaining the ongoing cooperative
spirit between her office and the TxDOT Division of Vehicle Titles and
Registration.
Agenda #5 - Order Restricting Outdoor Burning
- MINUTE ORDER #499/07: Upon receipt of report
from Fire Marshall Steve Casey, the Court took no action on the status of
the Order Restricting Outdoor Burning which remains in effect in Bell
County.
Agenda #6 - Claims
- MINUTE ORDER #500/07: Judge Jon Burrows
presented the claims for review to the Court. After proper review, upon motion by
Commissioner Tim Brown, second by Commissioner John Fisher,
the Court unanimously approved all such claims. All according to a
copy of the same being of record in the office of the County Auditor.
(The Court then went into workshop session to discuss those items on the
workshop agenda with no action being taken on any item.)
There being no further business, the meeting
adjourned.
