Agenda #1 - Minutes
- MINUTE ORDER #022/08: It being nine a.m.,
County Judge Jon Burrows, called the regular meeting of the
Commissioners' Court to order and called to the Courts attention that the
minutes of January 14 and January 16,
2008, regular session had been received. After due discussion, these
minutes were approved as presented.
Agenda #2a - County Engineer
- MINUTE ORDER #023/08: Tom Berrier with the County
Engineer's Office presented the matter of rescinding Appendix A15 of the
Bell County Subdivision Regulations regarding the combining of lots.
After due discussion, upon motion by Commissioner
Eddy Lange, second
by Commissioner Richard Cortese, the Court approved this matter in a
4 to 1 vote with Commissioner Tim Brown voting against the matter.
Agenda #2b - Advertise for Bids
- MINUTE ORDER #024/08: After due discussion, upon motion by Commissioner
Richard Cortese, second
by Commissioner Tim Brown, the Court unanimously approved authorizing
County Engineer to advertise for bids for the Right of Way fencing on Mills
Road (3382' Pct 1) and Romberg Road (186' Pct 2).
Agenda #3 - Personnel
- MINUTE ORDER #025/08: Upon motion by
Commissioner Tim Brown, second by Commissioner Eddy Lange, the
Court unanimously approved all employee status report forms with approved
budget amendment, the same being attached hereto and made a part of these
minutes.
Agenda #4 - Temporary Emergency Relief Funds - HELP
Centers of Bell County
- MINUTE ORDER #026/08: Following presentation by Judy
Morales, the Court considered approval of application for Temporary
Emergency Relief Funds (TERF) from the TERF Committee for the Temple and
Killeen HELP Centers of Bell County Human Services Department. After due discussion, upon motion by
Commissioner Richard Cortese, second by Commissioner Tim Brown, the
Court unanimously approved this matter.
Agenda #5 - Amendment to Contract with IHS (Indigent
Health Services)
- MINUTE ORDER #027/08: After due
discussion, upon motion by Commissioner
Tim Brown, second
by Commissioner John Fisher, the Court unanimously approved the
amendment to Contract with IHS (Indigent Health Services) to add Power
Search function to existing Contract. A copy of said amendment is
attached hereto and made a part of these minutes.
Agenda #6 - Medical Social Work/Case Management
Contract
- MINUTE ORDER #028/08: After due discussion, upon motion by
Commissioner Richard Cortese, second by Commissioner Tim Brown, the
Court unanimously approved the Medical Social Work/Case Management Contract
with Connie Hamill. A copy of said contract is attached hereto and
made part of these minutes.
Agenda #7 - Memorandum of Understanding
- MINUTE ORDER #029/08: Tom Kozeny, Director, Bell
County Juvenile Probation, presented for approval an amendment to the August
1, 2007 to July 31, 2008 Memorandum of Understanding - Residential between
Bell County, the Bell County Juvenile Board, and the Board of Trustees of
the Killeen Independent School District in which the instruction services
hours are increased. After due discussion, upon motion by
Commissioner Richard Cortese, second by Commissioner Eddy Lange, the
Court unanimously approved this matter.
Agenda #8 - Order Restricting Outdoor Burning
- MINUTE ORDER #030/08: The Court received a report
from Fire Marshall Steve Casey, a copy of which is attached and made a part
of these minutes, to consider the status of Order Restricting Outdoor
Burning and consider continuation, modification, extension, or termination
of the Order and a finding that circumstances present in all or part of the
unincorporated area create a public safety hazard that would be exacerbated
by outdoor burning. After due discussion, upon motion by
Commissioner Tim Brown, second by Commissioner Eddy Lange, the
Court unanimously approved lifting the Order Restricting Outdoor Burning
until Monday, January 28, 2008.
Agenda #9 - Claims
- MINUTE ORDER #031/08: County Judge Jon
Burrows
presented the claims for review to the Court. After proper review, upon motion by
Commissioner Tim Brown, second by Commissioner Richard Cortese,
the Court unanimously approved all such claims. All according to a
copy of the same being of record in the office of the County Auditor.
(The Court then went into workshop session to discuss those items on the
workshop agenda with no action being taken on any item.)
There being no further business, the meeting
adjourned.
