AFTER proper posting of public notice, a copy of which is attached hereto, on this the 4th day of March, 2008, the County Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas, met in the Commissioners' Courtroom in Belton, Texas, in regular session with the following members of said Court present, to-wit:

  1. Agenda #1 - Minutes

    • MINUTE ORDER #098/08:  It being nine a.m., County Judge Jon Burrows, called the regular meeting of the Commissioners' Court to order and called to the Courts attention that the minutes of February 25, 2008, regular session had been received.  After due discussion, these minutes were approved as presented.



  2. Agenda #2a - County Engineer

    • MINUTE ORDER #099/08:   County Engineer Richard Macchi presented for approval the preliminary plat of Lacey Lou Addition, a Five-Lot, 5.782 Acre Development off of Brewer Road, Precinct 2.  After due discussion, upon motion by Commissioner Tim Brown, second by Commissioner John Fisher, the Court unanimously approved this matter.
          


  3. Agenda #2b - Vasicek Subdivision

    • MINUTE ORDER #100/08:   County Engineer Richard Macchi presented for approval the final plat of Vasicek Subdivision, a One-Lot, 1.868 Acre Subdivision at the corner of Riggs Road and Knob Creek Road, in the E.T.J. of the City of Temple, Precinct 1.  After due discussion, upon motion by Commissioner Richard Cortese, second by Commissioner Eddy Lange, the Court unanimously approved this matter.



  4. Agenda #2c - River Ridge Ranch

    • MINUTE ORDER #101/08:  County Engineer Richard Macchi presented for approval the final plat of River Ridge Ranch Section V Amended (Lots 20A & 21A), a Replat of Lots 20 & 21, in the E.T.J. of the City of Killeen.  After due discussion, upon motion by Commissioner John Fisher, second by Commissioner Richard Cortese, the Court unanimously approved this matter.                



  5. Agenda #2d - 2008 Work Plan

    • MINUTE ORDER #102/08:   After due discussion, upon motion by Commissioner Eddy Lange, second by Commissioner Richard Cortese, the Court unanimously approved the 2008 Work Plan.                



  6. Agenda #3 - Personnel

    • MINUTE ORDER #103/08:    Upon motion by Commissioner John Fisher, second by Commissioner Tim Brown, the Court unanimously approved all employee status report forms, the same being attached hereto and made part of these minutes.   



  7. Agenda #4 - Application for Grant Funding for Killeen and Temple HELP Centers

    • MINUTE ORDER #104/08:    After due discussion, upon motion by Commissioner Eddy Lange, second by Commissioner John Fisher, the Court unanimously approved application to the Cities of Killeen and Temple for CDBG grant funding for use to assist residents in need at both the Killeen HELP Center and the Temple HELP Center. 



  8. Agenda #5 - Order Restricting Outdoor Burning

    • MINUTE ORDER #105/08:  The Court received a report from Fire Marshall Steve Casey, a copy of which is attached and made a part of these minutes, to consider the status of Order Restricting Outdoor Burning and consider continuation, modification, extension, or termination of the Order and a finding that circumstances present in all or part of the unincorporated area create a public safety hazard that would be exacerbated by outdoor burning.      After due discussion, upon motion by Commissioner Tim Brown, second by Commissioner Eddy Lange, the Court unanimously approved lifting the Order Restricting Outdoor Burning until Sunday, March 11, 2008 at sunset with said Order to be reconsidered March 12, 2008. 



  9. Agenda #5 - Nadine Apartments

    • MINUTE ORDER #106/08:    After due discussion, upon motion by Commissioner Eddy Lange, second by Commissioner Richard Cortese, the Court approved the joint purchase with the City of Temple the property locally known as the Nadine Apartments in Temple, and the authorization for the County Judge to sign all necessary and appropriate documents and the approval of the appropriate budget amendment.  A copy of said budget amendment is attached hereto and made part of these minutes.    



  10. Agenda #7 - Claims

    • MINUTE ORDER #107/08:   County Judge Jon Burrows presented the claims for review to the Court.  After proper review, upon motion by Commissioner Tim Brown, second by Commissioner Richard Cortese, the Court unanimously approved all such claims.  All according to a copy of the same being of record in the office of the County Auditor.



  11.         (The Court then went into workshop session to discuss those items on the workshop agenda with no action being
             taken on any item.)


             There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.
