AFTER proper posting of public notice, a copy of which is attached hereto, on this the 14th day of April, 2008, the County Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas, met in the Commissioners' Courtroom in Belton, Texas, in regular session with the following members of said Court present, to-wit:

  1. Agenda #1 - Minutes

    • MINUTE ORDER #155/08:  It being nine a.m., County Judge Jon Burrows, called the regular meeting of the Commissioners' Court to order and called to the Courts attention that the minutes of April  7, 2008 at 9:00 a.m. regular session and April 7, 2008, 1:30 p.m., special session had been received.  After due discussion, these minutes were approved as presented.



  2. Agenda #2a - County Engineer

    • MINUTE ORDER #156/08:   After due discussion, upon motion by Commissioner Tim Brown, second by Commissioner John Fisher, the Court unanimously approved the final plat for Cowboy Code, a One-Lot, 9.07 Acre Development at F.M. 2268 and IH 35 in the E.T.J. of the Village of Salado.
          


  3. Agenda #2b - Tanglewood Subdivision

    • MINUTE ORDER #157/08:   County Engineer Richard Macchi presented the matter of Abandonment/Vacation of the Drainage Easement between Lots 10 and 11, Block 1, Tanglewood Subdivision.  After due discussion, upon motion by Commissioner Eddy Lange, second by Commissioner Richard Cortese, the Court unanimously approved this matter.
          


  4. Agenda #2c - Red Barn Lane

    • MINUTE ORDER #158/08:   County Engineer Richard Macchi presented the matter of awarding the bid for the Right of Way fencing on Red Barn Lane, Precinct 3, to B&B Fencing, Randy Benner, in the amount of $5,318.28 as low bidder of the three bids received.  After due discussion, upon motion by Commissioner Eddy Lange, second by Commissioner Richard Cortese, the Court unanimously approved this matter.
          


  5. Agenda #3 - Personnel

    • MINUTE ORDER #159/08:    Upon motion by Commissioner John Fisher, second by Commissioner Eddy Lange, the Court unanimously approved all employee status report forms, the same being attached hereto and made part of these minutes.   



  6. Agenda #4 - County Government Week in Bell County

    • MINUTE ORDER #160/08:    County Judge Jon Burrows proclaimed April 13 - 19, 2008 as County Government Week in Bell County and announced the Annual Bell County Employee Appreciation BBQ and Awards Program for 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 18, 2008, at the Assembly Hall of the Bell County EXPO Center.  After due discussion, upon motion by Commissioner Richard Cortese, second by Commissioner John Fisher, the Court unanimously approved this matter.      



  7. Agenda #5 - Managed Pharmacy Benefit Services Agreement Consumer Card Program

    • MINUTE ORDER #161/08:  County Judge Jon Burrows presented for approval the Managed Pharmacy Benefit Services Agreement Consumer Card Program among CaremarkPCS Health, L.P. (Caremark), the National Association of Counties (Customer), and Bell County ( as "Member County") for discounted pharmacy services for County residents.  After due discussion, upon motion by Commissioner Tim Brown, second by Commissioner Richard Cortese, the Court unanimously approved this matter.



  8. Agenda #6 -  Frequency Reconfiguration Agreement Amendment One

    • MINUTE ORDER #162/08:   After due discussion, upon motion by Commissioner Richard Cortese, second by Commissioner John Fisher, the Court unanimously approved Amendment One to Frequency Reconfiguration Agreement between Bell County and Nextel of Texas, Inc., dated December 7, 2007 updating cost estimates regarding reconfiguration of the 800 MHZ band for which Bell County is reimbursed is reconfiguration cost.
          


  9. Agenda #7 - Boundary Line Agreement - M.F. Connell Survey, Abstract # 6

    • MINUTE ORDER #163/08:   After due discussion, upon motion by Commissioner Richard Cortese, second by Commissioner Tim Brown, the Court unanimously approved a Boundary Line Agreement and Special Warranty Deed regarding 0.04 acres of land out of the M.F. Connell Survey, Abstract #6, between Bell County and Vijay and Vinoo Mehta and authorizing the County Judge to sign said documents and other appropriate closing papers upon title approval by legal counsel.
          


  10. Agenda #8 - Highway Transportation Projects in Bell County

    • MINUTE ORDER #164/08:   The Court received a report/presentation from Richard Skopik, TxDOT District Engineer for the Waco District, on current status and future projections of Highway Transportation Projects in Bell County.  A copy of said report is attached hereto and made part of these minutes.  No action taken by the Court.  
          


  11. Agenda #9 - Claims

    • MINUTE ORDER #165/08:   County Judge Jon Burrows presented the claims for review to the Court.  After proper review, upon motion by Commissioner Tim Brown, second by Commissioner Richard Cortese, the Court unanimously approved all such claims.  All according to a copy of the same being of record in the office of the County Auditor.



  12.         (The Court then went into workshop session to discuss those items on the workshop agenda with no action being
             taken on any item.)


             There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.
