Richard Macchi presented for approval an Interlocal Agreement with the
City of Little River/Academy for the purchase of Cold Mix from the County. After due discussion, upon motion by
Commissioner Richard Cortese, second by Commissioner Eddy Lange, the
Court unanimously approved this matter.
Agenda #2b - Interlocal Agreement with the City of
Troy
- MINUTE ORDER #261/08: County Engineer
Richard Macchi presented for approval an Interlocal Agreement with the
City of Troy for the Seal Coating of 0.87 miles of City streets. After due discussion,
upon motion by
Commissioner Eddy Lange, second by Commissioner Richard Cortese,
the Court unanimously approved this matter.
Agenda #2c - Bids for HFRS-2 Emulsion
- MINUTE ORDER #262/08: After due discussion,
upon motion by
Commissioner Richard Cortese, second by Commissioner Tim Brown,
the Court unanimously approved authorizing the County Engineer to advertise
for bids for HFRS-2 Emulsion and based on existing circumstances under
emergency conditions, the Court accepted a proposal from Ergon, Waco, to
provide the County with CRS-2 Emulsion at an approximate cost of $1.99 per
gallon during the interim period.

Richard Macchi presented for approval the final plat of Schneider
Subdivision, a One-Lot, 1.15 Acre Subdivision fronting on FM 485. After due discussion,

the Court unanimously approved this matter.

Agenda #4 - Bell County Health Facilities Development
Corporation Revenue Bonds
- MINUTE ORDER #265/08: County Judge Jon
Burrows presented for approval a Resolution regarding Section 147(f)
Approval of the Bell County Health Facilities Development Corporation
Revenue Bonds, Series 2008 (Advanced Living Technology, Inc. Project). After due discussion, upon motion
by
Commissioner Richard Cortese, second by Commissioner Tim Brown,
the Court unanimously approved this matter.
Agenda #5 - Automated Information Systems Contract for
Bell County Jail
- MINUTE ORDER #266/08: After due discussion, upon motion
by
Commissioner Tim Brown, second by Commissioner Richard Cortese,
the Court unanimously approved an Order by Commissioners Court of Bell
County, Texas awarding a contract in the amount of $60,000 per year ($5,000
per month) for Automated Information Systems regarding the telephone system
for the Bell County Jail. A copy of said Order is attached hereto and
made part of these minutes.
Agenda #6 - 2008 Byrne Justice Assistance Grant Program
(JAGP) Award
- MINUTE ORDER #267/08: County Judge
Jon Burrows presented for approval an Interlocal Agreement between Bell
County and the City of Killeen regarding the 2008 Byrne Justice Assistance
Grant Program (JAGP) Award. After due discussion, upon motion by Commissioner
John Fisher, second
by Commissioner Richard Cortese, the Court unanimously approved this
matter.
Agenda #7 - National Association of Counties (NACo)
Prescription Card Program
- MINUTE ORDER #268/08: County Judge
Jon Burrows announced the process and procedures for the Issuance of the
National Association of Counties (NACo) Prescription Card, which will be
available to all Bell County residents at no charge, with the potential to
provide significant savings on the costs of medical prescriptions. No
action taken.
Agenda #8 - Claims
- MINUTE ORDER #269/08: County Judge Jon
Burrows
presented the claims for review to the Court. After proper review, upon motion by
Commissioner Tim Brown, second by Commissioner Richard Cortese,
the Court unanimously approved all such claims. All according to a
copy of the same being of record in the office of the County Auditor.
(The Court then went into workshop session to discuss those items on the
workshop agenda with no action being taken on any item.)
There being no further business, the meeting
adjourned.
