AFTER proper posting of public notice, a copy of which is attached hereto, on this the 30th day of June, 2008, the County Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas, met in the Commissioners' Courtroom in Belton, Texas, in regular session with the following members of said Court present, to-wit:

  1. Agenda #1 - Minutes

    • MINUTE ORDER #270/08:  County Judge Jon Burrows called to the Courts attention that the minutes of June 23, 2008, 9:00 a.m. regular session had been received.  After due discussion, these minutes were approved as presented.



  2. Agenda #2a - County Engineer

    • MINUTE ORDER #271/08:   County Engineer Richard Macchi presented for approval the Preliminary Plat for Shaw Branch West, a 14-Lot, 11.660 Acre Development in the E.T.J. of the City of Nolanville.  After due discussion, upon motion by Commissioner Tim Brown, second by Commissioner John Fisher, the Court unanimously approved this matter.
          


  3. Agenda #2b - Interlocal Agreement with Academy I.S.D.

    • MINUTE ORDER #272/08:    County Engineer Richard Macchi presented for approval an Interlocal Agreement with Academy I.S.D. for the Seal Coating of 11,144 square yards of parking lot.  After due discussion, upon motion by Commissioner Richard Cortese, second by Commissioner Eddy Lange, the Court unanimously approved this matter.  A copy of said Agreement is attached hereto and made part of these minutes.  
          


  4. Agenda #3 - Personnel

    • MINUTE ORDER #273/08:    Upon motion by Commissioner Eddy Lange, second by Commissioner John Fisher, the Court unanimously approved all employee status report forms, the same being attached hereto and made part of these minutes.



  5. Agenda #4 - Order Restricting Outdoor Burning

    • MINUTE ORDER #274/08:   The Court received a report from Fire Marshall Steve Casey, a copy of which is attached and made part of these minutes, to consider an Order Restricting Outdoor Burning finding that circumstances present in all or part of the unincorporated area create a public safety hazard that would be exacerbated by outdoor burning.  After due discussion, upon motion by Commissioner Richard Cortese, second by Commissioner Eddy Lange, the Court unanimously approved to issue the Order effective at sunrise Tuesday, July 1, 2008, for thirty (30) days.  A copy of said Order is attached hereto and made part of these minutes.



  6. Agenda #5 - City of Belton Tax Abatement Request - High Performance Ropes of America, Inc.

    • MINUTE ORDER #275/08:   Sam Listi, Belton City Manager presented for approval the City of Belton's request for a Tax Abatement for High Performance Ropes of America, Inc., which the City of Belton approved on June 24, 2008.  After due discussion, upon motion by Commissioner Richard Cortese, second by Commissioner Eddy Lange, the Court approved this matter in a 4 to 1 vote with Commissioner Tim Brown voting against this matter. 


  7. Agenda #6 - Claims

    • MINUTE ORDER #276/08:   County Judge Jon Burrows presented the claims for review to the Court.  After proper review, upon motion by Commissioner Tim Brown, second by Commissioner Richard Cortese, the Court unanimously approved all such claims.  All according to a copy of the same being of record in the office of the County Auditor.



  8.         (The Court then went into workshop session to discuss those items on the workshop agenda with no action being
             taken on any item.)


             There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.
