Agenda #1 - Minutes
- MINUTE ORDER #300/08:
County Judge Jon Burrows called to the Courts attention that the
minutes of July 14, 2008, 9:00 a.m. regular session had been received. After due discussion, these
minutes were approved as presented.
Agenda #2a - County Engineer
- MINUTE ORDER #301/08: County Judge Jon
Burrows opened a public hearing at 9:07 a.m. for comments regarding
installation of a YIELD sign to replace a STOP sign at the intersection of
Lampasas Spur at Riverside Trail (777 Estates). There being no public
comments, the public hearing was closed. After due discussion, upon motion by
Commissioner John Fisher, second by Commissioner Tim Brown, the
Court unanimously approved this matter.
Agenda #2b - Awarding Bids for Liquid Asphalt
Products
- MINUTE ORDER #302/08: Tom Berrier with
the County Engineer's Office presented the matter of awarding the bid for
the HFRS-2 to the low bidder, SemMaterials in the amount of $2.4298 per
gallon; and awarding the bid for AE-P to Ergon in the amount of $3.3448 per
gallon which was also the low bid. After due discussion,
upon motion by
Commissioner Tim Brown, second by Commissioner Eddy Lange,
these bids were unanimously approved by the Court.
Agenda #2c - Interlocal Agreement with City of Holland
- MINUTE ORDER #303/08: Tom Berrier with the
County Engineer's Office presented for approval an Interlocal Agreement with
the City of Holland to perform drainage work along a portion of Hackberry
Road that borders on Holland I.S.D. property. After due discussion, upon motion by
Commissioner Tim Brown, second by Commissioner Eddy Lange, the
Court unanimously approved this matter.
Agenda #2d - Spivey Acres Subdivision
- MINUTE ORDER #304/08: Tom Berrier with the
County Engineer's Office presented for approval the final plat for Spivey's
Acres Subdivision, a Two-Lot, 2.460 Acre Subdivision fronting onto Sawyer
Lane, a privately-maintained roadway. After due discussion, upon motion by
Commissioner Eddy Lange, second by Commissioner Tim Brown, the
Court unanimously approved this matter.
Agenda #3 - Personnel
- MINUTE ORDER #305/08: Upon motion by Commissioner
Tim Brown, second
by Commissioner John Fisher, the Court unanimously approved all
employee status report forms, the same being attached hereto and made part
of these minutes.
Agenda #4 - Re-appointments to the Board of Trustees of
the Central Counties MHMR Authority
- MINUTE ORDER #306/08: County Judge Jon
Burrows presented for approval the re-appointment of Dr. Louella H. Tate
and Mr. Neal White to the Board of Trustees of the Central Counties MHMR
Authority for two-year terms beginning September 1, 2008. After due discussion, upon motion
by
Commissioner Eddy Lange, second by Commissioner Tim Brown, the
Court unanimously approved this matter.
Agenda #5 - Bell County Clerk Records Management Funds
Expenditure Approval
- MINUTE ORDER #307/08: County Clerk Shelley
Coston presented for approval the purchase of a Microfilm MS-30011 from Docudata and payment for installation and training for E-Recording from ACS
for the Bell County Clerk's Office using County Clerk Records Management
Funds. After due discussion, upon motion by
Commissioner John Fisher, second by Commissioner Tim Brown, the
Court unanimously approved this matter.
Agenda #6 - Claims
- MINUTE ORDER #308/08: County Judge Jon
Burrows
presented the claims for review to the Court. After proper review, upon motion by
Commissioner Tim Brown, second by Commissioner John Fisher,
the Court unanimously approved all such claims. All according to a
copy of the same being of record in the office of the County Auditor.
(The Court then went into workshop session to discuss those items on the
workshop agenda with no action being taken on any item.)
There being no further business, the meeting
adjourned.
