- MINUTE ORDER #309/08:
County Judge Jon Burrows called to the Courts attention that the
minutes of July 21, 2008, 9:00 a.m. regular session had been received. After due discussion, these
minutes were approved as presented.

- MINUTE ORDER #310/08: County Engineer
Richard Macchi presented for approval an Interlocal Agreement with the
Village of Salado for the seal coating of two (2) miles of city streets. After due discussion, upon motion by
Commissioner Tim Brown, second by Commissioner Richard Cortese, the
Court unanimously approved this matter. A copy of said Agreement is
attached hereto and made part of these minutes.
Agenda #2b - Bell County Flood Damage Prevention
Court Order
- MINUTE ORDER #311/08: County Engineer
Richard Macchi presented for approval the Bell County Flood Damage
Prevention Court Order, effective September 26, 2008. After due discussion,
upon motion by
Commissioner Richard Cortese, second by Commissioner Eddy Lange,
the Court unanimously approved this matter. A copy of said Court Order
is attached hereto and made part of these minutes.
Agenda #2c - Bids for Cold Mix
- MINUTE ORDER #312/08: After due discussion, upon motion by
Commissioner Eddy Lange, second by Commissioner Richard Cortese,
the Court unanimously approved authorizing the County Engineer to advertise
for bids for cold mix.
Agenda #2d - Awarding Bid for Liquid Asphalt Products
- MINUTE ORDER #313/08: County Engineer
Richard Macchi presented for approval awarding bid No. 17-08 for liquid
asphalt products to all who submitted bids on July 9, 2008. After due discussion, upon motion by
Commissioner Richard Cortese, second by Commissioner Eddy Lange, the
Court unanimously approved this matter.

- MINUTE ORDER #314/08: Upon motion by Commissioner
John Fisher, second
by Commissioner Eddy Lange, the Court unanimously approved all
employee status report forms, the same being attached hereto and made part
of these minutes.
Agenda #4 - Appointment of Election Judges and
Alternates
- MINUTE ORDER #315/08: Elections Clerk
Jana Henderson presented for approval an Order of Appointment for
Election Judges and Alternates effective August 1, 2008 for a one (1) year
terms. After due discussion, upon motion
by
Commissioner Richard Cortese, second by Commissioner John Fisher, the
Court unanimously approved this matter. A copy of said Order is
attached hereto and made part of these minutes.
Agenda #5 - Change Order #008 - Bell County Jail Project
- MINUTE ORDER #316/08: After due discussion, upon motion by
Commissioner Tim Brown, second by Commissioner John Fisher, the
Court unanimously approved Change Order #008 with Skanska USA Building, Inc.
with no change in Guaranteed Maximum Price for Bell County Jail Project.
A copy of said Order is attached hereto and made part of these minutes.
Agenda #6 - Department of the Army License Agreement
- MINUTE ORDER #317/08: Tax
Assessor-Collector Sharon Long presented for approval a Department of the
Army License Agreement with Bell County giving permission for Bell County
Vehicle Registration to occupy approximately 1,163 square feet of
administrative space in Building 69004 at Fort Hood, Texas, to operate a
vehicle registration office. After due discussion, upon motion by Commissioner
John Fisher, second
by Commissioner Richard Cortese, the Court unanimously approved this
matter.
Agenda #7 - Purchase of Correctional Facility Mattresses
from Derby Industries
- MINUTE ORDER #318/08: After due
discussion, upon motion by Commissioner
Tim Brown, second
by Commissioner Richard Cortese, the Court unanimously approved an
Order granting exemption under Section 262.024(a)(7)(A) of the Local
Government Code from the competitive bidding requirements for the purchase
of Derby sealed seam correctional facility mattresses, a patented item, from
Derby Industries, a sole source, and approving the purchase of such items.
A copy of said Order is attached hereto and made part of these minutes.
Agenda #8 - Claims
- MINUTE ORDER #319/08: County Judge Jon
Burrows
presented the claims for review to the Court. After proper review, upon motion by
Commissioner Tim Brown, second by Commissioner Richard Cortese,
the Court unanimously approved all such claims. All according to a
copy of the same being of record in the office of the County Auditor.
(The Court then went into workshop session to discuss those items on the
workshop agenda with no action being taken on any item.)
There being no further business, the meeting
adjourned.
