- MINUTE ORDER #370/08:
Commissioner Richard Cortese called to the Courts attention that the
minutes of August 25, 2008, 9:00 a.m. regular session had been received. After due discussion, these
minutes were approved as presented.
Agenda #2a - County Engineer
- MINUTE ORDER #371/08: County Engineer
Richard Macchi presented for approval the matter of awarding bids for
the purchase of Cold Mix to both Iron Horse of Belton at $64.50 per ton, and
Vulcan Materials of Uvalde at $66.50 per ton. After due discussion,
upon motion by Commissioner
Eddy Lange, second
by Commissioner Tim Brown, the Court unanimously approved this
matter.
Agenda #3 - Personnel
- MINUTE ORDER #372/08: Upon motion by Commissioner
John Fisher, second
by Commissioner Eddy Lange, the Court unanimously approved all
employee status report forms, the same being attached hereto and made part
of these minutes.
Agenda #4 - Precinct 208 Polling Place Location Change
- MINUTE ORDER #373/08: Jana Henderson,
Elections Clerk with the County Clerk's Office, presented for approval the
change in location of Precinct 208 Polling Place from Cedar Valley
Elementary School, 4801 Chantz Drive, Killeen, Texas 76541 to Timber
Ridge Elementary School, 5402 White Rock Drive, Killeen, Texas 76542
for the November 4, 2008 General Election; approval to make submission under
Section 5, Voting Rights Act to the Department of Justice for approval; and
approval of the execution/submission of all necessary documentation by the
County Judge or his representative. After due discussion,
upon motion by
Commissioner Tim Brown, second by Commissioner John Fisher,
the Court unanimously approved this matter. A
copy of said Submission is attached hereto and made part of these minutes.
Agenda #5 - Coryell County Board of Trustees for
Central Counties MHMR Authority
- MINUTE ORDER #374/08:
Commissioner Richard Cortese presented for approval the ratification of
the appointment by Coryell County of Martha Jackson and Samantha Anderson to
the Board of Trustees for the MHMR Central Counties MHMR Authority. After due discussion,
upon motion by
Commissioner Tim Brown, second by Commissioner John Fisher, the
Court unanimously approved this matter.
Agenda #6 - Owner/Architect Amendment No. 7 for Bell
County Justice Center
- MINUTE ORDER #375/08: Commissioner
Richard Cortese presented for approval Amendment No. 7 to the
Owner/Architect Agreement for the Bell County Justice Center between Bell
County and Wiginton Hooker Jeffry, P.C., Architects. After due discussion,
upon motion by
Commissioner Tim Brown, second by Commissioner John Fisher,
the Court unanimously approved this amendment, a copy of which is attached
hereto and made part of these minutes.
Agenda #7 - Request for Statement of Qualification for
Construction Manager-at-Risk Services
- MINUTE ORDER #376/08: After due discussion,
upon motion by
Commissioner Tim Brown, second by Commissioner Eddy Lange, the
Court unanimously approved the County Auditor advertising for Request for
Statement of Qualifications for Construction Manager-at-Risk Services for
addition to the District Courthouse for five courtrooms, along with offices
for the County Attorney and County Clerk, a copy of which is attached hereto
and made part of these minutes.
Agenda #8 - Claims
- MINUTE ORDER #377/08: Commissioner Richard
Cortese
presented the claims for review to the Court. After proper review, upon motion by
Commissioner Tim Brown, second by Commissioner Richard Cortese,
the Court unanimously approved all such claims. All according to a
copy of the same being of record in the office of the County Auditor.
(The Court then went into workshop session to discuss those items on the
workshop agenda with no action being taken on any item.)
There being no further business, the meeting
adjourned.
