AFTER proper posting of public notice, a copy of which is attached hereto, on this the 29th day of September, 2008, the County Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas, met in the Commissioners' Courtroom in Belton, Texas, in regular session with the following members of said Court present, to-wit:

  1. Agenda #1 - Minutes

    • MINUTE ORDER #416/08:  County Judge Jon Burrows called to the Courts attention that the minutes of September 22, 2008, 9:00 a.m. regular session had been received.  After due discussion, these minutes were approved as presented.



  2. Agenda #2a - County Engineer

    • MINUTE ORDER #417/08:   Tom Berrier with the County Engineer's Office presented for approval the final plat of Tooterville Subdivision, a One-Lot, 1.0 acre subdivision off of Landfill Road, Precinct 1.  After due discussion, upon motion by Commissioner Richard Cortese, second by Commissioner Tim Brown, the Court unanimously approved this matter. 
          


  3. Agenda #2b - Set Date for Public Hearing

    • MINUTE ORDER #418/08:   Tom Berrier with the County Engineer's Office presented the matter of setting a public hearing for October 20, 2008, at 9:00 a.m. on the vacation of a 40' access easement (or right of way) between Lot 1, Block 3 and Lot 11, Block 1 of the Subdivision formerly known as Cedar Knob Estates and now known as Salado Lakeview.  After due discussion, upon motion by Commissioner Tim Brown, second by Commissioner John Fisher, the Court unanimously approved this matter. 
          


  4. Agenda #3 - Personnel

    • MINUTE ORDER #419/08:    Upon motion by Commissioner John Fisher, second by Commissioner Eddy Lange, the Court unanimously approved all employee status report forms, the same being attached hereto and made part of these minutes.



  5. Agenda #4 - Office of the Attorney General, Temple Branch

    • MINUTE ORDER #420/08:   County Judge Jon Burrows announced that Louis Dubuque has been assigned to the Office of the Attorney General, Temple Branch.  No action taken. 



  6. Agenda #5 - FY 2008 - 2009 County Auditor's Budget

    • MINUTE ORDER #421/08:    County Auditor, Donna Eakin presented a report to the Court from District Judges of annual Order certifying the FY 2008 - 2009 County Auditor's budget.  After due discussion,  upon motion by Commissioner Richard Cortese, second by Commissioner John Fisher, the Court unanimously approved this matter.  A copy of said Order is attached hereto and made part of these minutes.



  7. Agenda #6 - Order on Court Reporter's Pay

    • MINUTE ORDER #422/08:   County Auditor, Donna Eakin presented a report to the Court from District Judges of annual Order concerning Court Reporter pay.  After due discussion,  upon motion by Commissioner Richard Cortese, second by Commissioner Eddy Lange, the Court unanimously approved this matter.  A copy of said Order is attached hereto and made part of these minutes.  


  8. Agenda #7 - Inmate Pay Telephone Agreement with Evercom Systems, Inc.

    • MINUTE ORDER #423/08:    After due discussion,  upon motion by Commissioner Eddy Lange, second by Commissioner Tim Brown, the Court unanimously approved a second amendment to the Inmate Pay Telephone Agreement wit Evercom Systems, Inc.



  9. Agenda #8 - County Auction Results

    • MINUTE ORDER #424/08:   The Court received a report from Russell Williams, Assistant Auditor, regarding the results of the County Auction held on September 20, 2008.  After due discussion, upon motion by Commissioner Eddy Lange, second by Commissioner John Fisher, the Court unanimously approved this report, a copy of which is attached hereto and made part of these minutes.
          


  10. Agenda #9 - Hill Country Transit Agreement

    • MINUTE ORDER #425/08:    Rita Kelley, Director of Indigent Health Services for Bell County, presented for approval an agreement with Hill Country Transit District to provide non-emergency medical trips for indigent health care clients within the urbanized areas of Bell County.  After due discussion,  upon motion by Commissioner Tim Brown, second by Commissioner Richard Cortese, the Court unanimously approved this matter.  A copy of said Agreement is attached hereto and made part of these minutes.



  11. Agenda #10 - Interlocal Cooperation Agreement with Travis County

    • MINUTE ORDER #426/08:    County Judge Jon Burrows presented for approval an Interlocal Cooperation Agreement for Medical Examiner Services between Travis County and Bell County.  After due discussion,  upon motion by Commissioner Eddy Lange, second by Commissioner John Fisher, the Court unanimously approved this matter.



  12. Agenda #11 - Claims

    • MINUTE ORDER #427/08:   County Judge Jon Burrows presented the claims for review to the Court.  After proper review, upon motion by Commissioner Tim Brown, second by Commissioner Richard Cortese, the Court unanimously approved all such claims.  All according to a copy of the same being of record in the office of the County Auditor.



  13.         (The Court then went into workshop session to discuss those items on the workshop agenda with no action being
             taken on any item.)


             There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.
