January 26, 2009


AFTER proper posting of public notice, a copy of which is attached hereto, on this the 26th day of January, 2009, the County Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas, met in the Commissioners' Courtroom in Belton, Texas, in regular session with the following members of said Court present, to-wit:

  1. Agenda #1 - Minutes

    • MINUTE ORDER #038/09:  County Judge Jon Burrows called to the Courts attention that the minutes of January 20, 2009 regular session had been received.  After due discussion, these minutes were approved as presented.



  2. Agenda #2a - County Engineer

    • MINUTE ORDER #039/09:  After due discussion, upon motion by Commissioner Tim Brown, second by Commissioner Eddy Lange, the Court unanimously approved an Interlocal Agreement with the City of Holland to provide labor and equipment of a value of approximately $55,000 to assist the City in the development of their City park on East Travis Street should the City receive grant funding for the project.
          


  3. Agenda #3 - Personnel

    • MINUTE ORDER #040/09:    Upon motion by Commissioner Tim Brown, second by Commissioner John Fisher, the Court unanimously approved all employee status report forms with approved budget amendment, the same being attached hereto and made a part of these minutes.
          


  4. Agenda #4 - Bell County Discount Prescription Card

    • MINUTE ORDER #041/09:    Ron Heuss, Human Resource Director, presented an update on availability and usage of Bell County Discount Prescription Card.  Report is attached hereto and made part of these minutes.  No action taken by the Court.
          


  5. Agenda #5 - Order Restricting Outdoor Burning - Burn Ban

    • MINUTE ORDER #042/09:   County Judge Jon Burrows presented for approval the matter of the termination, modification, or continuation of the Order Restricting Outdoor Burning - Burn Ban set to expire at 10:00 a.m. on January 26, 2009.  After due discussion, upon motion by Commissioner Tim Brown, second by Commissioner John Fisher, the Court unanimously approved a new Order Restricting Outdoor Burning effective immediately until February 23, 2009, at 10:00 a.m.  A copy of said Order is attached hereto and made part of these minutes.



  6. Agenda #6 - Bell County Museum Annual Report and Board of Trustees Appointments

    • MINUTE ORDER #043/09:   Stephanie Turnham, Director of the Bell County Museum presented for approval the Annual Report of the Bell County Museum and approval of appointments to the Museum Board of Trustees.  After due discussion, upon motion by Commissioner Eddy Lange, second by Commissioner John Fisher, the Court unanimously approved this matter.  A copy of said report is attached hereto and made part of these minutes.
          


  7. Agenda #7 - Claims

    • MINUTE ORDER #044/09:   County Judge Jon Burrows presented the claims for review to the Court.  After proper review, upon motion by Commissioner Tim Brown, second by Commissioner John Fisher, the Court unanimously approved all such claims.  All according to a copy of the same being of record in the office of the County Auditor.


             (The Court then went into workshop session to discuss those items on the workshop agenda with no action being taken on any item.)


             There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.
