Agenda #1 - Minutes
- MINUTE ORDER #045/09:
County Judge Jon Burrows called to the Courts attention that the minutes
of January 26, 2009 regular session had been received. After due discussion, these minutes
were approved as presented.
Agenda #2a - County Engineer
- MINUTE ORDER #046/09: After due discussion, upon motion
by Commissioner Richard Cortese, second by Commissioner Eddy Lange,
the Court unanimously approved a variance to the 25' building setback line
on Lot 7, Block 1, Shiloh Terrace Phase 3, for Mr. Dan Rose, who is the
developer of the Subdivision, (264 Rosemont).
Agenda #3 - Personnel
- MINUTE ORDER #047/09: Upon motion
by Commissioner Tim Brown, second by Commissioner John Fisher,
the Court unanimously approved all employee status report forms with
approved budget amendment, the same being attached hereto and made a part of
these minutes.
Agenda #4 - Order Restricting Outdoor Burning - Burn Ban
- MINUTE ORDER #048/09: County Judge
Jon Burrows presented for approval the matter of the termination,
modification, or continuation of the Order Restricting Outdoor Burning -
Burn Ban set to expire at 10:00 a.m. on February 23, 2009. The Court
took no action and said Order Restricting Outdoor Burning remains in effect.
Agenda #5 - Data Access Agreement between Bell County and
the Office of the Attorney General
- MINUTE ORDER #049/09: Shelia Norman, Bell County
District Clerk, presented for approval a Data Access Agreement between
Bell County and the Office of the Attorney General in support of its duties
in the administration of a Child Support Enforcement Strategy, pursuant to
the authority in §132.002 of the Texas Family
Code. After due discussion, upon
motion by Commissioner Eddy Lange, second by Commissioner Richard
Cortese, the Court unanimously approved this matter. A copy of
said agreement is attached hereto and made part of these
minutes.
Agenda #6 - Contract with Wharry Engineering for
Roofing Engineering and Consulting
- MINUTE ORDER #050/09: After due discussion, upon
motion by Commissioner Tim Brown, second by Commissioner John
Fisher, the Court unanimously approved entering into a contract with
Wharry Engineering for roofing engineering and consulting and approval of
granting an exemption from the requirements of
§ 262.023 of the Local Government Code under the Discretionary Exemptions of
§ 262.024(a)(4) of the Local Government Code.
Agenda #7 - Bell County 4-H Consumer Decision Making Team
- MINUTE ORDER #051/09: Michah Holcombe, Bell
County Extension Agent for 4-H Youth Development for Texas AgriLife
Extension Service recognized the Bell County 4-H Consumer Decision Making
Team for winning 1st place at the Western National 4-H Roundup in Denver,
January 7-11, 2009. Members of the team are Dorothy Wood, Elizabeth
Wood, David Fasolino, and Victoria Eller. No action taken by the
Court.
Agenda #8 - Bell County Sheriff's Annual Awards for 2009
- MINUTE ORDER #052/09: Sheriff Dan Smith
presented to his staff the Annual Sheriff's Office Awards for 2009. No
action taken by the Court. A copy of said presentation is attached
hereto and made part of these minutes.
Agenda #9 - Claims
- MINUTE ORDER #053/09: County Judge
Jon Burrows presented the claims for review to the Court. After
proper review, upon
motion by Commissioner Tim Brown, second by Commissioner Richard
Cortese, the Court unanimously approved all such claims. All
according to a copy of the same being of record in the office of the County
Auditor.
(The Court then went into
workshop session to discuss those items on the workshop agenda with no action
being taken on any item.)
There being no further business, the meeting
adjourned.
