Agenda #1 - Minutes
- MINUTE ORDER #061/09:
County Judge Jon Burrows called to the Courts attention that the minutes
of February 09, 2009 regular session had been received. After due discussion, these minutes
were approved as presented.
Agenda #2a - County Engineer
- MINUTE ORDER #062/09: County Judge Jon Burrows
opened a public hearing at 9:04 a.m. for comments to consider approval of
the following Traffic Control Devices:
1. Install a 40 MPH speed limit on Riggs Road;
2. Install a 40 MPH speed limit on Acres Spur;
3. Install a 45 MPH speed limit on Knob Creek from
Riggs to Primrose Trail.
There being no public comments, the public hearing was closed. After due discussion, upon motion
by Commissioner Richard Cortese, second by Commissioner Eddy Lange,
the Court unanimously approved this matter.
Agenda #2b - County Engineer
- MINUTE ORDER #063/09: After due
discussion, upon motion
by Commissioner Richard Cortese, second by Commissioner Eddy Lange,
the Court unanimously approved releasing Letter of Credit No. 619, First
State Bank Central Texas, in the amount of $117,347.00 and replacing it with
Letter of Credit No. 656, in the amount of $3,000 for the one-year road
maintenance for Woodland Ridge Estate Subdivision.
Agenda #2c - County Engineer
- MINUTE ORDER #064/09:
County Judge Jon Burrows presented for approval authorization for the
County Engineer's office to advertise for bids for the construction of
10,927 feet of right of way fencing on Post Oak Road, Precinct 1, and 1,752
feet of right of way fencing on Horned Frog Road, Precinct 2. After
due discussion, upon motion
by Commissioner Richard Cortese, second by Commissioner Tim Brown,
the Court unanimously approved this matter.

Agenda #3 - Personnel
- MINUTE ORDER #065/09: Upon motion
by Commissioner John Fisher, second by Commissioner Tim Brown,
the Court unanimously approved all employee status report forms with
approved budget amendment, the same being attached hereto and made a part of
these minutes.
Agenda #4 - Order Restricting Outdoor Burning - Burn Ban
- MINUTE ORDER #066/09: County Judge
Jon Burrows presented for approval the matter of the termination,
modification, or continuation of the Order Restricting Outdoor Burning -
Burn Ban set to expire at 10:00 a.m. on February 23, 2009. The Court
took no action and said Order Restricting Outdoor Burning remains in effect.
Agenda #5 - Advertising for Bids for Rooftop Air Handlers
- MINUTE ORDER #067/09: After due discussion, upon
motion by Commissioner Richard Cortese, second by Commissioner
Tim Brown, the Court unanimously approved authorizing the County Auditor
to advertise for bids to purchase four Rooftop Air Handlers for the Juvenile
Detention Center.
Agenda #6 - Ratification of Emergency Purchase
- MINUTE ORDER #068/09: After due discussion, upon
motion by Commissioner Tim Brown, second by Commissioner John
Fisher, the Court unanimously approved
the ratification of the emergency purchase, as allowed under Local
Government Code, Section 262.024, of a Rooftop Air Handler to replace a unit
that ceased functioning at the Juvenile Detention Center.
Agenda #7 - Claims
- MINUTE ORDER #069/09: County Judge
Jon Burrows presented the claims for review to the Court. After
proper review, upon
motion by Commissioner Tim Brown, second by Commissioner Richard
Cortese, the Court unanimously approved all such claims. All
according to a copy of the same being of record in the office of the County
Auditor.
(The Court then went into
workshop session to discuss those items on the workshop agenda with no action
being taken on any item.)
There being no further business, the meeting
adjourned.
