AFTER proper posting of public notice, a copy of which is attached hereto, on this the 23rd day of February, 2009, the County Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas, met in the Commissioners' Courtroom in Belton, Texas, in regular session with the following members of said Court present, to-wit:

  1. Agenda #1 - Minutes

    • MINUTE ORDER #070/09:  County Judge Jon Burrows called to the Courts attention that the minutes of February 17, 2009 regular session had been received.  After due discussion, these minutes were approved as presented.



  2. Agenda #2a - County Engineer

    • MINUTE ORDER #071/09:  After due discussion, upon motion by Commissioner Eddy Lange, second by Commissioner Tim Brown, the Court unanimously approved the abandonment/vacation of the Utility Easement on the West property line of Lot 2, Block 1, Walker Ridge Phase One Subdivision. 
           
          

  3. Agenda #3 - Personnel

    • MINUTE ORDER #072/09:    Upon motion by Commissioner John Fisher, second by Commissioner Eddy Lange, the Court unanimously approved all employee status report forms with approved budget amendment, the same being attached hereto and made a part of these minutes.
          


  4. Agenda #4 - Brazos G Regional Water Planning Group

    • MINUTE ORDER #073/09:  County Judge Jon Burrows announced his election to the Executive Committee of the Brazos G Regional Water Planning Group.  No action taken by the Court.



  5. Agenda #5 - Order Restricting Outdoor Burning - Burn Ban

    • MINUTE ORDER #074/09:   County Judge Jon Burrows presented for approval the matter of the termination, modification, or continuation of the Order Restricting Outdoor Burning - Burn Ban set to expire at 10:00 a.m. on February 23, 2009.  After due discussion, upon motion by Commissioner John Fisher, second by Commissioner Eddy Lange, a new Order Restricting Outdoor Burning was issued effective at 10:00 a.m. today through 10:00 a.m. on March 23, 2009.



  6. Agenda #6 - Tax Abatement Agreement - George Clark Moore III dba Nellie's

    • MINUTE ORDER #075/09:   After due discussion, upon motion by Commissioner Tim Brown, second by Commissioner Eddy Lange, the Court unanimously approved a Tax Abatement Agreement with George Clark Moore III dba Nellie's, already approved by the City of Belton on December 9, 2008 and recommended for Bell County approval by the City of Belton.  A copy of said Agreement is attached hereto and made part of these minutes.
          


  7. Agenda #7 - Bell County Courthouse Expansion/Addition

    • MINUTE ORDER #076/09:   After due discussion, upon motion by Commissioner Tim Brown, second by Commissioner John Fisher, the Court unanimously approved the Guaranteed Maximum Price for Bell County Courthouse Expansion/Addition of $21,379,414 by Construction Manager, Skanska USA Building, Inc.
          


  8. Agenda #8 - Claims

    • MINUTE ORDER #077/09:   County Judge Jon Burrows presented the claims for review to the Court.  After proper review, upon motion by Commissioner Tim Brown, second by Commissioner John Fisher, the Court unanimously approved all such claims.  All according to a copy of the same being of record in the office of the County Auditor.


             (The Court then went into workshop session to discuss those items on the workshop agenda with no action being taken on any item.)


             There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.
