met in the Commissioners' Courtroom in Belton, Texas, in regular session with the

- MINUTE ORDER #123/09:
County Judge Jon Burrows called to the Courts attention that the minutes
of March 23, 2009 regular session had been received. After due
discussion, these minutes were approved as presented.
Agenda #2a - County Engineer
- MINUTE ORDER #124/09: County Judge Jon
Burrows opened a public hearing at 9:08 a.m. for approval of the
following Traffic Control Device:
1. Install a 45 MPH speed limit at intersection of Ivy Road and Willow
Grove to 600 feet South on Willow Grove Road.
There being no public comments, the public hearing was closed. After due discussion, upon motion by
Commissioner Eddy Lange, second by Commissioner Tim Brown, the
Court unanimously tabled this matter.
Agenda #2b - County Engineer
- MINUTE ORDER #125/09: County Engineer Bryan
Neaves presented for approval a final plat for T.B.T., a 10.766 Acre,
3-Lot Subdivision in the E.T.J. of the City of Temple, fronting on Water
Supply Road. After due discussion, upon motion by
Commissioner Eddy Lange, second by Commissioner John Fisher, the
Court unanimously approved this matter.
Agenda #2c - County Engineer
- MINUTE ORDER #126/09: County Engineer Bryan
Neaves requested authorization for the County Engineer to advertise for
bids on crack sealing material. After due discussion, upon motion by
Commissioner Tim Brown, second by Commissioner John Fisher, the
Court unanimously approved this matter.

Agenda #3 - Personnel
- MINUTE ORDER #127/09: Upon motion
by Commissioner Tim Brown, second by Commissioner Eddy Lange,
the Court unanimously approved all employee status report forms with
approved budget amendment, the same being attached hereto and made a part of
these minutes.

Agenda #4 - Task Force on Indigent Defense Appointment
- MINUTE ORDER #128/09:
County Judge Jon Burrows announced the Texas Senate Confirmation of
Governor Rick Perry's nomination of County Judge Jon Burrows for
re-appointment to the Task Force on Indigent Defense. No action taken
by the Court.
Agenda #5 - Order Restricting Outdoor Burning - Burn Ban
- MINUTE ORDER #129/09: The Court received a
report from Bell County Fire Marshall Steve Casey on weather/fire
conditions. After due discussion, the Court took no action on the
matter of issuing an Order Restricting Outdoor Burning -- Burn Ban.
Agenda #6 - Child Abuse Prevention Month in Bell County
- MINUTE ORDER #130/09: Jeannie Pittman with the
Bell County Child Welfare Board presented a report and requested approval of
Proclamation naming April 2009 as "Child Abuse Prevention Month" in Bell
County, Texas. After due discussion, upon
motion by Commissioner Tim Brown, second by Commissioner
John Fisher, the Court unanimously approved this matter. A copy of
said Proclamation is attached hereto and made part of these minutes.
Agenda #7 - Change Order Number 001, Courthouse
Expansion Project
- MINUTE ORDER #131/09: After due discussion, upon
motion by Commissioner Tim Brown, second by Commissioner Eddy
Lange, the Court unanimously approved
Change Order Number 001, with no change in the Guaranteed Maximum Price,
between Bell County and Skanska USA Building, Inc. on Courthouse Expansion
Project.
Agenda #8 - Claims
- MINUTE ORDER #132/09: County Judge Jon
Burrows presented the claims for review to the Court. After
proper review, upon
motion by Commissioner Tim Brown, second by Commissioner John
Fisher, the Court unanimously approved all such claims. All
according to a copy of the same being of record in the office of the County
Auditor.
(The Court then went into
workshop session to discuss those items on the workshop agenda with no action
being taken on any item.)
There being no further business, the meeting
adjourned.
