AFTER proper posting of public notice, a copy of which is attached hereto, on this the 13th day of April, 2009, the County Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas, met in the Commissioners' Courtroom in Belton, Texas, in regular session with the following members of said Court present, to-wit:

  1. Agenda #1 - Minutes

    • MINUTE ORDER #144/09:  County Judge Jon Burrows called to the Courts attention that the minutes of April 06, 2009 regular session had been received.  After due discussion, these minutes were approved as presented.



  2. Agenda #2a - County Engineer

    • MINUTE ORDER #145/09:  County Judge Jon Burrows opened a public hearing at 9:07 a.m. for comments on the vacation of a portion of Rosanky Road as depicted in the drawings attached hereto and made part of these minutes.  Mr. Steve Wells commented in favor of closing this portion of the road.  There being no further comments, the public hearing was closed at 9:09 a.m.  After due discussion, upon motion by Commissioner Richard Cortese, second by Commissioner Eddy Lange, the Court unanimously approved this matter.
           
          

  3. Agenda #2b - County Engineer

    • MINUTE ORDER #146/09:  County Engineer Bryan Neaves presented for approval an Interlocal Agreement with the Rogers I.S.D. for paving (seal coating) of 900 square yards of roadway.   After due discussion, upon motion by Commissioner Eddy Lange, second by Commissioner Richard Cortese, the Court unanimously approved this matter.
           
          

  4. Agenda #3 - Personnel

    • MINUTE ORDER #147/09:    Upon motion by Commissioner John Fisher, second by Commissioner Tim Brown, the Court unanimously approved all employee status report forms with approved budget amendment, the same being attached hereto and made a part of these minutes.
          


  5. Agenda #4 - Order Restricting Outdoor Burning - Burn Ban

    • MINUTE ORDER #148/09:   The Court received a report from Bell County Fire Marshall Steve Casey on weather/fire conditions.  After due discussion, the Court took no action on the matter of issuing an Order Restricting Outdoor Burning -- Burn Ban.


       
  6. Agenda #5 - 2009-2010 Commissioners Court Leadership Academy

    • MINUTE ORDER #149/09:   County Judge Jon Burrows recognized Pct. 2 Commissioner Tim Brown for his selection for the 2009-2010 Commissioners Court Leadership Academy of the Texas AgriLife Extension Service's V.G. Young Institute of County Government of Texas A&M University.  No action taken.
          


  7. Agenda #6 - Unfunded Mandates

    • MINUTE ORDER #150/09:   County Judge Jon Burrows gave updates from the offices of Senator Troy Fraser, Representative Ralph Sheffield, and Representative Jimmie Don Aycock on Bell County's request to co-author and support the passage of HJR 84 to Prohibit Unfunded Mandates on Counties.  No action taken.


  8. Agenda #7 - Claims

    • MINUTE ORDER #151/09:   County Judge Jon Burrows presented the claims for review to the Court.  After proper review, upon motion by Commissioner Tim Brown, second by Commissioner Richard Cortese, the Court unanimously approved all such claims.  All according to a copy of the same being of record in the office of the County Auditor.


             (The Court then went into workshop session to discuss those items on the workshop agenda with no action being taken on any item.)


             There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.
