AFTER proper posting of public notice, a copy of which is attached hereto, on this the 11th day of May, 2009, the County Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas, met in the Commissioners' Courtroom in Belton, Texas, in regular session with the following members of said Court present, to-wit:

  1. Agenda #1 - Minutes

    • MINUTE ORDER #186/09:  County Judge Jon Burrows called to the Courts attention that the minutes of May 04, 2009 regular session had been received.  After due discussion, these minutes were approved as presented.


  2. Agenda #2a - County Engineer

    • MINUTE ORDER #187/09:  No action taken.
           
          

  3. Agenda #3 - Personnel

    • MINUTE ORDER #188/09:    Upon motion by Commissioner John Fisher, second by Commissioner Eddy Lange, the Court unanimously approved all employee status report forms with approved budget amendment, the same being attached hereto and made a part of these minutes.
          


  4. Agenda #4 - Police Memorial Day in Bell County

    • MINUTE ORDER #189/09:   After due discussion, upon motion by Commissioner Tim Brown, second by Commissioner John Fisher, the Court unanimously approved a Proclamation setting May 14, 2009 as Police Memorial Day in Bell County, with the ceremony to be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 14, 2009, on the north lawn of the Bell County Courthouse Square in Belton.  A copy of said Proclamation is attached hereto and made a part of these minutes.
           

       
  5. Agenda #5 - Bell County Drug Court Program

    • MINUTE ORDER #190/09:   County Judge Jon Burrows presented for approval a Resolution establishing FY 2009 Bell County Drug Court Program and designating the County Judge as the authorized official for grants from the Criminal Justice Division of the Office of the Governor.  After due discussion, upon motion by Commissioner Richard Cortese, second by Commissioner Eddy Lange, the Court unanimously approved this matter.  A copy of said Resolution is attached hereto and made part of these minutes.
          


  6. Agenda #6 - Juvenile Justice Center Bid for Renovations

    • MINUTE ORDER #191/09:    After due discussion, upon motion by Commissioner Tim Brown, second by Commissioner Richard Cortese, the Court unanimously approved a bid in the amount of $132,000 from Gene Doss Construction for renovations to the Juvenile Justice Center and authorized entering into a contractual agreement.  
          


  7. Agenda #7 - FusionBridge Ltd. Statement of Work

    • MINUTE ORDER #192/09:    County Judge Jon Burrows presented for approval a Statement of Work with FusionBridge Ltd. for Bell County Indigent Defense Assessment Project.  After due discussion, upon motion by Commissioner Richard Cortese, second by Commissioner Eddy Lange, the Court unanimously approved this matter.  A copy of said Statement of Work is attached hereto and made part of these minutes. 
          


  8. Agenda #8 - SAVNS Grant for VINE

    • MINUTE ORDER #193/09:    After due discussion, upon motion by Commissioner Tim Brown, second by Commissioner John Fisher, the Court unanimously approved the SAVNS (Statewide Automated Victim Notification System) Grant contract between the Office of the Attorney General and Bell County for the State Fiscal Year 2010 to continue participation in the Texas statewide Victim Information and Notification Everyday (VINE) system beginning on September 1, 2009 and ending on August 31, 2010.  
          


  9. Agenda #9 - Claims

    • MINUTE ORDER #194/09:   County Judge Jon Burrows presented the claims for review to the Court.  After proper review, upon motion by Commissioner Tim Brown, second by Commissioner Richard Cortese, the Court unanimously approved all such claims.  All according to a copy of the same being of record in the office of the County Auditor.


             (The Court then went into workshop session to discuss those items on the workshop agenda with no action being taken on any item.)


             There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.
