AFTER proper posting of public notice, a copy of which is attached hereto, on this the 18th day of May, 2009, the County Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas, met in the Commissioners' Courtroom in Belton, Texas, in regular session with the following members of said Court present, to-wit:

  1. Agenda #1 - Minutes

    • MINUTE ORDER #195/09:  County Judge Jon Burrows called to the Courts attention that the minutes of May 11, 2009 regular session had been received.  After due discussion, these minutes were approved as presented.


  2. Agenda #2a - County Engineer

    • MINUTE ORDER #196/09:  County Engineer Bryan Neaves presented for approval releasing Letter of Credit No. 505 First State Bank Killeen/Copperas Cove in the amount of $11,000.00 for the one year road maintenance for Walnut Estates Phase 8.  After due discussion, upon motion by Commissioner John Fisher, second by Commissioner Richard Cortese, the Court unanimously approved this matter.
           
          

  3. Agenda #2b - County Engineer

    • MINUTE ORDER #197/09:  County Engineer Bryan Neaves presented for approval releasing Letter of Credit No. 506 First State Bank Killeen/Copperas Cove in the amount of $7,500.00 for the one year road maintenance for Swaida Addition.  After due discussion, upon motion by Commissioner John Fisher, second by Commissioner Richard Cortese, the Court unanimously approved this matter.
           
          

  4. Agenda #3 - Personnel

    • MINUTE ORDER #198/09:    Upon motion by Commissioner Tim Brown, second by Commissioner Eddy Lange, the Court unanimously approved all employee status report forms with approved budget amendment, the same being attached hereto and made a part of these minutes.
          


  5. Agenda #4 - Local Option Election - City of Nolaville

    • MINUTE ORDER #199/09:   Elections Clerk Jana Henderson presented for approval the canvass results of the Local Option Election in the City of Nolanville for the legal sale of all alcoholic beverages including mixed beverages.  Totals were 126 For and 73 Against.  After due discussion, upon motion by Commissioner Tim Brown, second by Commissioner Richard Cortese, the Court unanimously approved this matter.  A copy of said report is attached hereto and made a part of these minutes.
           

       
  6. Agenda #5 - Bids for General Contractor for Truck Wash at Road & Bridge Facility

    • MINUTE ORDER #200/09:   County Judge Jon Burrows presented for approval authorizing the County Auditor to advertise for bids for General Contractor for the construction of a truck-wash at the Road & Bridge Facility.  After due discussion, upon motion by Commissioner Tim Brown, second by Commissioner Richard Cortese, the Court unanimously approved this matter. 
          


  7. Agenda #6 - Arbitrage Rebate Compliant Services

    • MINUTE ORDER #201/09:    After due discussion, upon motion by Commissioner Richard Cortese, second by Commissioner John Fisher, the Court unanimously approved an agreement with First Southwest Asset Management, Inc. for Arbitrage Rebate Compliant Services.
          


  8. Agenda #7 - Claims

    • MINUTE ORDER #202/09:   County Judge Jon Burrows presented the claims for review to the Court.  After proper review, upon motion by Commissioner Tim Brown, second by Commissioner Richard Cortese, the Court unanimously approved all such claims.  All according to a copy of the same being of record in the office of the County Auditor.


             (The Court then went into workshop session to discuss those items on the workshop agenda with no action being taken on any item.)


             There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.
