AFTER proper posting of public notice, a copy of which is attached hereto, on this the 4th day of January, 2010, the County Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas, met in the Commissioners' Courtroom in Belton, Texas, in regular session with the following members of said Court present, to-wit:

  1. Agenda #1 - Minutes

    • MINUTE ORDER #001/10:  County Judge Jon Burrows called to the Courts attention that the minutes of December 21, 2009, 9:00 a.m. regular session had been received.  After due discussion, these minutes were approved as presented.



  2. Agenda #2a - County Engineer

    • MINUTE ORDER #002/10:  County Engineer Bryan Neaves presented for approval the final plat for Calhoun First Addition, a replat of Chaparral Estates in Precinct 2, a replat of Lot 29, Block 1, at the corner of Slawson Lane and Shaw Lane.  After due discussion, the Court took no action on this matter.
           
          

  3. Agenda #3 - Personnel

    • MINUTE ORDER #003/10:    Upon motion by Commissioner Eddy Lange, second by Commissioner Tim Brown, the Court unanimously approved all employee status report forms with approved budget amendment, the same being attached hereto and made a part of these minutes; and approved posting for Applications Development Manager position.
          


  4. Agenda #4 - Conference of Urban Counties Policy Committee for 2010-2011

    • MINUTE ORDER #004/10:    County Judge Jon Burrows presented for approval a Resolution for County Judge Jon Burrows to continue to serve on the Conference of Urban Counties Policy Committee for 2010-2011.  After due discussion, upon motion by Commissioner Tim Brown, second by Commissioner John Fisher, the Court unanimously approved this matter.
          


  5. Agenda #5 - Professional Services for Preparation of Redistricting

    • MINUTE ORDER #005/10:    County Judge Jon Burrows presented for approval the matter of Professors David Guinn and Michael Morrison (Guinn and Morrison, Attorneys), of Waco to provide professional services for the preparation of a redistricting plan and maps of the new boundaries of the Commissioners' Court and Justice Precincts to comport with Texas and federal legal requirements following release of the 2010 census count.  After due discussion, upon motion by Commissioner Richard Cortese, second by Commissioner Tim Brown, the Court unanimously approved this matter.
          


  6. Agenda 6 - Claims

    • MINUTE ORDER #006/10:   County Judge Jon Burrows presented the claims for review to the Court.  After proper review, upon motion by Commissioner Tim Brown, second by Commissioner Richard Cortese, the Court unanimously approved all such claims.  All according to a copy of the same being of record in the office of the County Auditor.


             (The Court then went into workshop session to discuss those items on the workshop agenda with no action being taken on any item.)


             There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.
