AFTER proper posting of public notice, a copy of which is attached hereto, on this the 25th day of January, 2010, the County Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas, met in the Commissioners' Courtroom in Belton, Texas, in regular session with the following members of said Court present, to-wit:

  1. Agenda #1 - Minutes

    • MINUTE ORDER #027/10:  County Judge Jon Burrows called to the Courts attention that the minutes of January 19, 2010, 9:00 a.m. regular session had been received.  After due discussion, these minutes were approved as presented.



  2. Agenda #2a - County Engineer

    • MINUTE ORDER #028/10:  County Engineer Bryan Neaves presented for approval the Abandonment and Release of Drainage Easement for Lots 51 and 52, in Hidden Springs, Section 2.  After due discussion, upon motion by Commissioner Tim Brown, second by Commissioner John Fisher, the Court unanimously approved this matter.
           
          

  3. Agenda #2b - County Engineer

    • MINUTE ORDER #029/10:  County Engineer Bryan Neaves presented for approval awarding the bid for two 5-6 C.Y. Dump Trucks to Freightliner of Austin in the amount of $141,654.00.  After due discussion, upon motion by Commissioner Richard Cortese, second by Commissioner Tim Brown, the Court unanimously approved this matter.
           
          

  4. Agenda #2c - County Engineer

    • MINUTE ORDER #030/10:  After due discussion, upon motion by Commissioner Eddy Lange, second by Commissioner John Fisher, the Court unanimously approved authorizing the County Engineer to advertise for bids for the purchase of the following materials:  Liquid asphalt, Hot Mix; Pit Run; Cold Lime Mix; and Concrete. 
           
          

  5. Agenda #3 - Personnel

    • MINUTE ORDER #031/10:    Upon motion by Commissioner John Fisher, second by Commissioner Tim Brown, the Court unanimously approved all employee status report forms with approved budget amendment, the same being attached hereto and made a part of these minutes.
          


  6. Agenda #4 - Bell County Personal Bond Department Name Change

    • MINUTE ORDER #032/10:    County Judge Jon Burrows presented for approval a name change of the Bell County Personal  Bond Department to Bell County Pretrial Services Department.  After due discussion, upon motion by Commissioner Richard Cortese, second by Commissioner Tim Brown, the Court unanimously approved this matter.
          


  7. Agenda #5 - Bell County Museum Annual Report

    • MINUTE ORDER #033/10:    Stephanie Turnham, Bell County Museum Director, presented for approval the Annual Report of the Bell County Museum and requested approval of appointment of the following new members of the board:  John Odom, Becky Ann Garth, Stephanie O'Banion, Amy Thomas, and Ann Messer.  After due discussion, upon motion by Commissioner Tim Brown, second by Commissioner John Fisher, the Court unanimously approved this matter.  A copy of said presentation is attached hereto and made part of these minutes. 
          


  8. Agenda 6 - Claims

    • MINUTE ORDER #034/10:   County Judge Jon Burrows presented the claims for review to the Court.  After proper review, upon motion by Commissioner Tim Brown, second by Commissioner Richard Cortese, the Court unanimously approved all such claims.  All according to a copy of the same being of record in the office of the County Auditor.


             (The Court then went into workshop session to discuss those items on the workshop agenda with no action being taken on any item.)


             There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.
