AFTER proper posting of public notice, a copy of which is attached hereto, on this the 8th day of February, 2010, the County Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas, met in the Commissioners' Courtroom in Belton, Texas, in regular session with the following members of said Court present, to-wit:

  1. Agenda #1 - Minutes

    • MINUTE ORDER #044/10:  County Judge Jon Burrows called to the Courts attention that the minutes of February 01, 2010, 9:00 a.m. regular session had been received.  After due discussion, these minutes were approved as presented.



  2. Agenda #2a - County Engineer

    • MINUTE ORDER #045/10:  County Engineer Bryan Neaves presented for approval the final plat for Hidden Springs Subdivision, Section One, Lot 84A, located in Precinct 2.  After due discussion, upon motion by Commissioner Tim Brown, second by Commissioner John Fisher, the Court unanimously approved this matter.
           
          

  3. Agenda #2b - County Engineer

    • MINUTE ORDER #046/10:  County Engineer Bryan Neaves presented for approval the purchase of a Multi-Terrain Loader off of the Buy Board in the amount of $90,860.  After due discussion, upon motion by Commissioner John Fisher, second by Commissioner Richard Cortese, the Court unanimously approved this matter.
           
          

  4. Agenda #3 - Personnel

    • MINUTE ORDER #047/10:    Upon motion by Commissioner Tim Brown, second by Commissioner Richard Cortese, the Court unanimously approved all employee status report forms, the same being attached hereto and made a part of these minutes.
          


  5. Agenda #4 - Public Hearing - Crawford Education Facilities Corporation

    • MINUTE ORDER #048/10:    At 9:09 a.m. County Judge Jon Burrows opened a public hearing regarding a tax exempt financing by the Crawford Education Facilities Corporation for the benefit of the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor.  There being no public comments, the hearing was closed.  
          


  6. Agenda #5 - Crawford Education Facilities Corporation

    • MINUTE ORDER #049/10:    After due discussion, upon motion by Commissioner Richard Cortese, second by Commissioner Tim Brown, the Court unanimously approved and adopted an Order approving a tax exempt financing by the Crawford Education Facilities Corporation for the benefit of the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor.   
          


  7. Agenda #6 - Bell County Investment Policy

    • MINUTE ORDER #050/10:    County Treasurer Charles Jones presented for approval the Bell County Investment Policy, a copy of which is attached hereto and made part of these minutes.  After due discussion, upon motion by Commissioner Tim Brown, second by Commissioner Richard Cortese, the Court unanimously approved this matter.
          


  8. Agenda #7 - Brazos G Regional Water Planning Group

    • MINUTE ORDER #051/10:    After due discussion, upon motion by Commissioner Richard Cortese, second by Commissioner John Fisher, the Court unanimously approved designation of Precinct 2 Commissioner Tim Brown as 2010 Alternate for County Judge Jon Burrows on the Brazos G Regional Water Planning Group. 
          


  9. Agenda #8 - Area Agency on Aging of Central Texas

    • MINUTE ORDER #052/10:    The Court received a report from Richard McGhee, Director of Area Agency on Aging of Central Texas, on the Central Texas Aging and Disability Resource Center Community Living Program, a nursing home diversion program, and the Program's receipt of the 2009 Rosalyn Carter/Johnson & Johnson Leadership in Caring Award.  A copy of said report is attached hereto and made part of these minutes.  No action taken by the Court.
          


  10. Agenda 9 - Claims

    • MINUTE ORDER #053/10:   County Judge Jon Burrows presented the claims for review to the Court.  After proper review, upon motion by Commissioner Tim Brown, second by Commissioner Richard Cortese, the Court unanimously approved all such claims.  All according to a copy of the same being of record in the office of the County Auditor.


             (The Court then went into workshop session to discuss those items on the workshop agenda with no action being taken on any item.)


             There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.
