Agenda #1 - Order Granting Exemption
- MINUTE ORDER #129/10:
County Judge Jon Burrows presented for approval Order granting exemption
under Section 262.024(a)(9) of the Local Government Code for County Engineer
or County Auditor to purchase personal property at an auction conducted by a
state licensed auctioneer. After due discussion, and the disclosure
that Commissioner Eddy Lange and John Fisher are state licensed auctioneers,
that purchases might be made at auctions they conduct and that neither
Commissioner Lange nor Commissioner Fisher were present at this meeting and
thus not voting, upon motion by Commissioner Tim Brown, second by
Commissioner Richard Cortese, the Court unanimously approved this
matter.
There being no further business, the meeting
adjourned.
