Agenda #1 - Minutes
- MINUTE ORDER #210/10:
County Judge Jon Burrows called to the Courts attention that the minutes
of June 7th, 2010, 9:00 a.m. regular sessions had been received. After due
discussion, these minutes were approved as presented.
Agenda #2a - County Engineer
- MINUTE ORDER #211/10:
County Engineer Bryan Neaves presented for approval modifying the
existing professional services contract with TemTex Engineering d/b/a
Popelka Structural Engineering to expand Scope of Services for Vehicle Wash
Facility to pursue design cost-savings. After due discussion, upon
motion by Commissioner Tim Brown, second by Commissioner John Fisher,
the Court unanimously approved this matter.

- MINUTE ORDER #212/10: Upon motion
by Commissioner Richard Cortese, second by Commissioner Tim Brown,
the Court approved all employee status report forms, the
same being attached hereto and made a part of these minutes.
Agenda #3a - Personnel
- MINUTE ORDER #213/10: County Judge
Jon Burrows announced the retirement notice given by Ron Heuss,
Director of Human Resources effective July 23, 2010. No action taken.

Agenda #4 - Task Force on Indigent Defense Grant for Bell
County
- MINUTE ORDER #214/10: County Judge
Jon Burrows announced Bell County's receipt of a $397,150.00 grant
from the Task Force on Indigent Defense, one of five approved on June
9th, 2010, to develop a "Web-Based Indigent Defense Appointment and
Compliance Monitoring System," that will allow the County to more
efficiently and effectively track its compliance with the Fair Defense
Act from time of arrest through payment of attorney fee vouchers.
No action taken by the Court.

Agenda #5 - Jail Management Software System
- MINUTE ORDER #215/10: After due
discussion, upon motion by Commissioner Tim Brown, second by Commissioner
Eddy Lange, the Court unanimously approved authorizing the County
Auditor to advertise for the procurement of a Jail Management software
system, from Request for Qualifications through Request for Proposals.

Agenda #6 - Historic Courthouse - Mechanical Design
Upgrades
- MINUTE ORDER #216/10: County Judge
Jon Burrows presented for approval authorizing TWC Architects to
proceed to finalize bids and the Scope of Work for mechanical design
upgrades to the Historic Courthouse as outlined in TWC June 4, 2010
review letter. After due discussion, upon motion by
Commissioner Tim Brown, second by Commissioner John Fisher,
the Court unanimously approved this matter.

Agenda #7 - Bids for Bell County Video Visitation System
Addition
- MINUTE ORDER #217/10: After due
discussion, upon motion by Commissioner Eddy Lange, second by Commissioner
John Fisher, the Court unanimously approved authorizing the County
Auditor to advertise for bids for a Bell County Video Visitation System
Addition.
Agenda #8 - Claims
- MINUTE ORDER #218/10: County Judge Jon
Burrows presented the claims for review to the Court. After
proper review, upon
motion by Commissioner Tim Brown, second by Commissioner
Richard Cortese, the Court unanimously approved all such claims. All
according to a copy of the same being of record in the office of the County
Auditor.
(The Court then went into
workshop session to discuss those items on the workshop agenda with no action
being taken on any item.)
There being no further business, the meeting
adjourned.
