Becoming a Member

We adore and appreciate our volunteers! We are always in need of folks to help our curator with collections and exhibitions, and our program coordinator welcomes tour guides and other assistance. Please fill out the below form and we will be in contact shortly about how you can be involved in a piece of Texas history!

Tour Guide — gives scheduled tours to school groups
Craft Demonstrator-demonstrates “pioneer” skills, as well as other crafts for museum and outreach programs
Lecturer: presents programs for clubs, school groups, and special events
Museum Host- serves as a greeter to museum visitors on a scheduled basis
Historical Research Assistant –assists in general curatorial research
Computer Data Operator- inputs computer data of museum collection
Clerical Assistant- makes copies, files, answers phone
Special Events Assistant- helps with fundraisers and special events, such as the annual Garage Sale and Christmas Party
Educational Programs Assistant- helps the program coordinator with the planning and execution of educational programs Collection Management Assistant-assists in cataloguing and properly storing objects
Exhibits Construction Assistant- helps build exhibits
Groundskeeper-helps keep planting beds weeded, watered, and fed
