Authorized Strength

The Bell County Jail personnel consists of the Jail Administrator, Housing & Security Officers, Intake & Support Officers, deputies and reserves. Our personnel perform a myriad of duties associated with the care, confinement and safety of inmates. Other duties include but are not limited to the booking, releasing and transporting of inmates to various locations like court, medical appointments, prison or other facilities. They also oversee inmates during outside activities, personal and religious services, professional and family visits, and meals. Deputies may also be charged with bailiff duties, court security, and inmate suicide prevention.
