Certified copies
of Death Certificates for deaths occurring before 1951 in Bell County
may be obtained from the County Clerk's office in Belton only. After
1951, the Cities of Temple and Belton record their own death
records. NOTE:
DEATH RECORDS ARE NOT PUBLIC RECORDS. ONLY
RELATIVES ARE AUTHORIZED TO OBTAIN COPIES AFTER COMPLETING AN
APPLICATION AND PROVIDING IDENTIFICATION. Death
Records are $21.00 for the first copy and $4.00 for each copy thereafter
at the time the request is made. TO

Provide the Date
and Place of Death; the Individual's name; and if a female, the maiden name of decedent.
A copy of the requesters' proof of identification (driver's license, military ID,
state ID, or other government ID) must also be submitted with the
request. If the requesting individual is out-of-state, money for the certificate(s) should be sent in the form of a money order or cashier's
check. Out-of-state checks are not accepted. |
