The contract manager is an official appointed by the Commissioners Court.  The primary responsibility is to work with the Commissioners Court in assisting with capital improvement projects, development, design, bid process, and construction administration.  The contract manager reports both written and orally on a weekly basis during the Commissioners Workshop and provides onsite supervision of contractors, vendors, and tradesmen.   The Contract Manager works with architects, engineers, and other professional services relating to capital improvement projects; works closely with the County Auditor's department as to advertising, purchasing, and accounts payable involved with capital improvements; and works closely with the Building and Grounds director and other departments when doing capital improvements.
