Crisis Intervention is designed for the families of Bell County residents who are experiencing difficulty with children at home, school or elsewhere in the community. Referrals are accepted from parents, guardians, school personnel, or other agencies that see early Intervention as a way to assist the family. The Intervention process consists of either individual child or family sessions. Topics covered include discussing the reason(s) for the referral, possible consequences for the continued behavior, the Juvenile Justice System referral process and available support systems. An action plan will be created to help deter the undesirable behavior(s) in the future.
Eligibility: The child must reside in Bell County, be between 10 and 16 years of age, and not have a case currently pending in juvenile court. The child may not have had any previous referrals or involvement in the juvenile justice system.
